I know what you're thinking: KVM. But I want to control both systems at the same time with the keyb/mouse, not switch between them.Anybody know if such a device exists that allows this?

yes there were done on the same test setup; do note that the Freezer comes out best in that particular test setup where there is very low airflow in a rather compact case. Depending on how much cooling you have in your case you might find different results. Most bang for the buck coolers are...

Tuniq Tower is great

at idle it can run close to ambient if it cooled by a big block of metal like the tower; remember that at idle the unused processes on the CPU are disabled, and heat generation drops quite a lot;

increasing the speed of a GPU/CPU by itself does not damage the device, however the effect of this increase CAN cause damage, mainly HEAT, if temperatures are not monitored and the device overheats with the overheating protection kicking in too late you'll get a broken PC. Luckily for us...

2-3°C won't allow you to push your CPU noticeable further, if you get 20-30Mhz you would be one of the very lucky, but if you are overclocking on such a borderline with the temperatures any change in room temp, case temp etc would cause your system to crash, not very fun to have this happen to...

Cooling for an EVGA 7900 GT, any suggestions?

worst case scenario you'll have to cut into the Freezer a bit, nothing too drastic though, and the small change won't change performance.

Quick Zalman VF900-Cu review

did you try to clean out the fan on NV Silencer ? that is a suggested action to take every 6 months or so... oh yeah, 60°C under load, inside a case, is not bad at all; especially at those 30°C ambient temps.

at lower CPU speeds differences will be quite small; when turning up the heat (overclocking with high cpu voltage) the 2 extra heatpipes will come into play and you'll see a larger advantage for the new HSF. but nothing drastic enough I think to make you want to swap the 2-pipe version for...
