I don't think it's the updated LAN driver. I did the update and it didn't seem to affect stability at all. Your temps do seem to be high. I'm running a 1.6A @ 2.4 (150 MHz FSB) using the on-board video and the latest AH bios and getting CPU temps of 39C idle, and 53C load. Have you tried...
Yea, I've has less than stellar results with Fry's rebates. I took a look over at Newegg and saw that they have the OEM 80GB, 8MB cache WD for $106, shipped free. It is OEM but has a 3 year warranty. I'm thinking of getting this since I don't really need the ide cable and software that the...
I'm planning to ugrade my HD and noticed in this moring's paper that the Bay Area Fry's has two good options this weekend. Both are Western Digital 7200 RPM DMA/100's. The first is a retail boxed 80GB with an 8MB buffer for $140 - $40 MIR. The second is an OEM 120GB, 2MB buffer for $120 (no...
I got the PNY/Samsung 256MB PC-2100 deal from BestBuy a while back. It's running at 150MHz, 4:5 ratio = DDR 375, 2-3-3-5 @ default voltage on a Abit BG7. Good luck with your OC.
Is there any way to use the DI-711 wireless router as only an access point? I already have a wired SMC router set up and what I'd like to do is to run a cable from the SMC to a different floor and attach the DI-711 to broadcast from there. I've tried hooding up a cable from one of the ports...
Yea, but if this is the explorer mouse with the two extra left side buttons, it's a lot better then a generic logitech mouse. The side buttons work great for surfing the net by using them for back and forward. Looking at the bigger picture, it looks like it has the buttons and $28 shipped is a...
If you live near Fry's, they occasionally have the Toshiba 50H71 for $1295. It's a 4:3 HDTV ready set, but it does do 3:2 pull down and will do anamorphic "sqeeze" when using the componet inputs so it's picture quality rivals 16:9 sets (as long as you can live with the black bars above and...
GregMal,
I think that adapter just gives you a mechanical connetion allowing you to use a USB mouse on a PS2 port. It won't work with other USB devices which require a true USB connection.
iso is an extension used by CD images. You can burn them to CDRs using Nero or CD Creator by selecting something like "create CD from image" and selecting the iso extension.
