AMD 3750 AGP

seeing as how AMD/ATI's current driver support for AGP is a bit iffy.. I'm not sure I'll be looking forward to the 38xx's on AGP (most AGP owners on XP are having issues with latest drivers).

you know the funny thing about those Dell 700M.. most of us got it along with the $750 off $1500 deal. i was remarking to my ex-gf yesterday how her unit can be sell USED for the same price that she got it for on ebay. just because a reasonably priced 12 inch is harder to find these...

most efficient software decoder: http://www.coreavc.com/ you'll have to get the professional edition to get SMP support, and so far limit to 2 core.. the supposedly coming enterprise edition will support more core. IMO, the standard edition of coreavc is pretty hot already.. lets me run...

Experiment: Zalman VF700-CU

uh, does the zalman vf700 not fit on ur xt850? if it does. mount it the way it should. i will bet my first born that it'll cool the gpu down much more than mounting it the other way around. if you properly cool the gpu, the heat that dissipates from the back of the circuit board will also...

thanks for the suggestions guys. the EN-5140GH looks great in price and from what I've read so far. can't really argue against the price too. plus I don't need any PCI-e connectors so the enchance looks like it fits the bill nicely. compare w/ review of the S12s I've read, the EN looks like...

the world seems less in-depth (but eh) and things are less complicated, a good thing for it being more mainstream, but I don't know.. the amount of books in the game is kind of disappointing too. wish it ran faster (wish I have better comp with widescreen monitor), but other than that...

DEAD: PNY 6600GT AGP $99 AR ($40) @ Newegg

ack. a bit loud eh? should have known. it'll blow away my current radeon 9800 pro, but the 9800 pro has a VGA silencer on it.. so its pretty darn quiet. I just checked and it doesnt seem like there's a VGA silencer for 6600GT (AGP).. there is one for the PCIe version, but yeah not sure...

Okay, I dont know why this happened, or how'd it happen, but all of a sudden, my DVD player only reads certain DVDs... I'm popping in my old movies that I've watched BEFORE without a single problem on my computer, and now it doesn't work. couple symptoms... pop it in, it struggles to read it...
