Thanks ... despite the state tax, I think the convenience of one stop shopping at Newegg and the positive outcome with any potential RMAs will win out in my case. I have had good results with Directron in the past, but they seem to be better for specific items rather than a full system build...
Thanks very much for the input. The old dual rigs (Thunder and Tiger) were picky about a PSU, and although it cost a lot at the time, I have been extremely pleased with the performance. The only thing the wife uses this rig for is to sync her Zune, and unless she realizes the beast is flaking...
After almost 7 years, my ancient beast (Tyan Tiger S2460 on XP, Dual Athlon XP 1800+ w/SK6s, 3 X 256 MB REG ECC Crucial Ram) has shown weakness and gives me the odd, random reboot. Its time to upgrade, and I'd appreciate your help.
I value stability and reliability ... I primarily use...
Unless you are trying to screw up your lungs, use a separate microwave that is never to be used again for food. Also, do it in a well ventilated area and don't breathe the fumes.
Thanks ... I have made small upgrades over the years ... a USB 2.0 card to upgrade USB capabilities. My primary drive is 6 1/2 years old, and if I am going to go through the time of replacing that, then I guess it might as well be time to replace the whole system. In addition, this board only...
I would really appreciate some opinions. I have a rig that I built 6 1/2 years ago that continues to handle everything I throw at it (non-gamer, some light photoshop work, primarily multiple, concurrent program work with custom software). Most of the work I do involves data manipulations that...
Nortexoid ... Thanks. I tried Nero and no luck. Any idea where I can get updates? I checked the Ricoh website, but that seems to be a waste. I'm wondering if it is the difference in media. 74 min CDRs burn fine, but not 80 min.
Hi Folks,
My Ricoh MP9120 CRR/DVD worked fine on my old rig running win98SE. I now have it in my new rig running W2K SP2. I just bought a bunch of Memorex 80 min CDRs. The damnable drive will not recognize these CDs, but it will recognize my nearly finished stock of Sony 74 min CDs. Help...
I am new to the world of SCSI, and would like to set up some SCSI HDs. I am thinking of getting an Adaptec 29160. Now, they have two versions, one which is build for rack servers. Will this version fit in my regular system? Thanks.
