    Well I just bought it brand new less than a month ago, based on it's ratings of power users from xtremesystems.org. It's supposedly made by seasonic I believe and has an Antec brand stamped on it. It's too late for me to return it, so if it's bad I guess I'm SOL.

    That's the thing though, don't leave your RAM settings on AUTO. Switch it to manual and it won't read it by SPD. Then try those settings and give it a try.

    Looks like the rated volts on that RAM is 2.0v. You said you had a cheap stick that would work, right? Boot up with that, and go to BIOS and set your VDIMM to +0.2v, save and shutdown, then swap out the RAM and try to boot.

    Hmm that's a weird one, but no mine isn't like that. In fact, my PSU has no external connector or wires for the fan, it's internal I guess. I have an Antec NeoHE 500w PSU, which should be more than enough juice for my system. And my SATA drive is actually running as IDE in BIOS, whatever that means.

    Yeah like I said, it's 6+ hours memtest stable at these settings. It also passed memtest for 13 hours at a lower fsb. The RAM is fine, it has to be a voltage or a timing is just a little off methinks.

    The board does that if your system isn't stable. You can just short the jumper right above the CMOS battery, or wait a few minutes and see if it will boot up again. But when it does that it's resetting some stuff back to defaults in BIOS, so you have to check them out again.

    I got bored, so i reseated my HSF on my e6400

    Fans don't seem to make a difference. I now have 5 120mm fans in my Antec P180b, and my E6400 also idles high. Will have to try manually undervolting, sounds hawt.

    I agree my temps seem high. In fact, they are about 5-7C higher than they were a week ago, so I'm not sure what's going on. I used AS5 after removing the stock thermal stuff. How are you measuring your temps?

    Guess I'm confused as to which one is more recent. The guys on XtremeSystems made me think that the F4e was the latest, but if it's not I'll happily try the F4.
