    What makes me think this way? MC has BM stores and as a result huge overhead that keeps their prices higher than online only e-tailers. But in any case I will get it from local MC: no shipping charges and I can return it any time I want. And I am driving by MC every day.

    I never had problem to get my money back within 30 days. But that trick usually does not work - they started serial number scan many years ago. It may not be on your reciept, but they have it in as electronic record attached to the receipt.
