Retail Microcenter prices usually are not that bad, sometimes they have better deals than newegg, like i7-950 for $199, but I will not buy Basiq for $70 - It was on sale couple months ago there for $49 They have pretty good OCZ selection, these are in my price range...

As I see in other posts, current versions of MMC don't work in Vista While ago I found that ver 9.08 is the most reliable version for XP as well for AIW RADEON and AIW2006, but 2006 needs newer drivers. As far as I understood newers All-In-Wonder cards all have Vista drivers, but MMC does...

No signal on DVI until Windows GUI appears

Mobo BIOS is the latest. I don't think that it is worth to touch Video card BIOS on this old but very good card: It is original ATI AIW Radeon, built by ATI, about 5 years old. I will keep it just because of TV tuner and it does support 1680x1050 !!! I have newer AIW 9600 (2006) dual...

No signal on DVI until Windows GUI appears

I just rebooted it again to capture the message It said: "signal not supported" So I guess card uses some kind of non-standard resolution in DOS, that is not supported by monitor's DVI. Well I can live with this... DVI image quality much better than VGA And I want to keep this card for a...

What makes me think this way? MC has BM stores and as a result huge overhead that keeps their prices higher than online only e-tailers. But in any case I will get it from local MC: no shipping charges and I can return it any time I want. And I am driving by MC every day.
