Has anyone tried underclocking / undervolting ryzen to lower the wattage to say full load 35 to 45 watts? A friend is wanting a 1600 or ? but wants it at a lower wattage at full load even if it means underclocking it if possible. So I am wondering is this possible ?
thank you

recovering from a triple ankle fracture which happened a year ago. this has affected my ability to ride. i do ride each day from 18 to 22 miles in about a hour. before my accident it was 70 to 80 miles per day. i have 15k on garmin in a years time
i prefer 2.5 for portable drive storage its easier for me to carry around. i would like a 4TB to 5TB one that is of quality not sure of seagate. Sorry didnt mean to derail this thread.

i dont overclock anymore so can only say i use low wattage cpus as i dont have a need for anything faster. that being said if i did find a 7700T someday i may yet find a reason to buy it but otherwise i wont. What i have now is more than adequate for my needs if I lower the wattage somehow...
My tartina bambino sphynx wants to be with me everywhere i go to . She is full of love and mischief as well. Her play mode can become a bit wild but I love her just the same. To me this is best cat I have ever had . Very dependent on me and wanting alot of affection and giving alot as...
Cats are wonderfull pets who can be very independent or very dependent depending on breed or luck. I have had a lot of cats in my life and enjoyed every one of them

i used a pico power for the kabini 160 / 192 brick with the 750ti it was more than enough to power the system . heatsink looks like it may be usefull for future build
i have one machine here that has been working since kabini first came out and at one time was my main machine. it only problem i had with it was web browsing. gaming with a 750ti was fine for my needs as i dont play fast paced games.
remember the video well , cpu didnt last long either. i lost 4 amd cpus in one day trying to figure out what was causing them to burn up. finaly figured it out was the pcpower and cooling 450 watt powersupply that was killing them. was a long time before i had a decent computer again
illegal to own but i had a few all worked for me and i havent seen intel showing up for them . if they do they are long gone by now. you take the risk thats all you do if its worth it to you then do what you feel is right
we all have addictions of one sort or another . i have many addictions some good and some bad just depends on what ones views are. for myself i like low power computers that will function for my needs. the lower the power that meets my requirements means i upgrade else i wait till there...
the microsoft fix i beleive has fixed the problem . at least 3dmark did finish this time without nividia kernal error. thats useing the pico setup as well. killawatt reports highest useage at 110 watts.
link to fix if anyone ever has this problem as it may help you...
the problem with the intel setup and the 750ti is i could never reach full wattage before it would crash out. its a TDR issue from what I am finding out with alot of research . the solution is many different ideas and some that work for a few and others who just deal with the issue. i...
Tested with 6670 video card with 3dmark no crashs either. Killawatt reported useage up to 70 watts. 750ti card was crashing between 60 to 80 watts. I also tried registry mod on previous install and it did help a little bit but not enough to make stable. So I have to assume the 750ti...
New install , drivers from discs motherboard and video card. 3dmark crashs fast as before. Screen goes black says (entering power save mode) then back to desktop with nividia kernal error. Going in to nividia panel and changing power setting from adaptive to power helped game run longer.
Testing with cpu gpu i dont see any crashs , looping 3dmark or internet browsing. Useing a killawatt meter with evga 750ti my system reports up to 85 watts in 3dmark then crashs everytime. Kabini system tested game stable with killawatt at 90 watts. So I will do one last install of...
will test it today . normaly it will crash just browsing internet. when it does i have to close browser and restart it or at worse case reboot. last night i played with 3dmark for 2 hrs and it didnt crash
I'm just about ready to throw this card in the recycle bin if someone cant find a suggestion for this problem. I have done what research I could concerning this problem.
Changed power setting to maximum performance (nividia control panel)
Changed drivers several times (clean removal of old...
