Win XP Slowed down my system?!?!?!?!?!?!

What did you upgrade from? Do you have all the latest drivers for XP / Hardware? I found a setting in BiOS fixes that mouse thing, but I can't recall what I did...

OS for gaming question

Hey, I have had ME, 2K, and XP ... I was wondering why XP runs so much smoother in game play (Doesn't load as fast as the 2, but video smoothness is a considerable amout faster) I was wondering if anyone knows why this is so, or maybe if there is a fix for it.... I like the feel and looks of...

I am still having bad problems...

1) My hard drive just shuts down sometimes - Example: The middle of a game, downloading music - Power settings: It's not set to go off, no hibernation, no UPS, none of those 2) My MOUSE freezes, not my computer - This is a guess because one time I was listening to an MP3 and I "Froze"...

Windows XP : Mouse Freezes but computer doesn't ?

I've noticed ever since I moved to WinXP that sometimes my computer will be perfectly fine, but yet my mouse freezes ... Cuz music is still going .. advertisements on webpages still move.... Anyone know what fixes this?

PC PROBLEMS (BAD!)

OK, I have some of the worst problems ever... Here is what's going on ---I freeze about every time I do multiple amount of task (Example : Click Winamp and Explorer at the same time) ---MY COMPUTER CAN'T RESTART WITHOUT "BIOS BOOT BLOCK ERROR" ---I CAN'T SHUT DOWN AND TURN OFF MY COMPUTER...

How will this perform?

OK, thanks for replies... Can't wait to get rid of this loud Dragon Orb (Supposebly 37 DB's! What a joke) It's not even too good performance wise, but how much do you think I could overclock using the 8045? Got 1.4 on Dragon Orb, about 60-70 % Stable

How will this perform?

I just bought an Alpha Pal 8045 + Panaflo 80mm 34 CFM Fan I was going for a quiet setup, and this is one of the best I could think of... Anyone give me an idea of how this performs? Thanks

Is dragon orb 3 louder than 37.5 DB?

I've had a dragon orb for a while now (7000 rpm) they rate it to 37 DB's, is that really true? because i was gonna get a sunon 80mm which is 36.5 DB, and that is almost no noise diff at all Kinda curious, please leave a message... Thanks

XP refresh rate, and some games run choppy...

Hey, well I upgraded to XP about 3 weeks ago and my refresh rate (Like when I leave a game and it comes back to my desktop) is VERY slow, like 3 seconds My refresh rate on the desktop is on 100hz / 32bit... I have tried the others, still the same result I have a Geforce3, and I have installed...

Geforce3 freezes constantly...

Well, I just bought a VisionTek GF3 and I'll play games for about 15 mins......... then I freeze all of the sudden, it also freezes on desktop, surfing the web, while I'm typing this ... (U get the idea) I am NOT overclocked, it's nothing to do with my CPU... Cause Windows XP even says so, here...

Yep CPU is bottlenecked, I found over 1360 my score doesnt increase very high... Unlock ur CPU and raise that FSB!

REGULAR GeForce3 Overclocking?

You guys are going high.... I run 230/550, I don't even bother with the core speed... never have seen 1 FPS difference no matter how high I OC it too (30mhz made .3 fps diff in Quake 3)

Geforce3 Problems (New card)

Hey, I just got a Geforce3.. it is running badly, my speed is ok, but my computer just keeps on randomly shutting off... (This happened after I put in the Geforce3)... Temps of CPU = 46c, Drivers 21.83 for Windows ME I am using Windows ME Abit KT7A - 1.2ghz (Not OC'ed right now)

Weird voltage problem...

OK, I'm running a 1.2ghz Athlon... And I found when I don't OC it I can go down to 1.475 Volts... But inorder to OC it, even to just 1.33, my voltage has to be above 1.800, any reason for this? I like a low voltage so my temp stays low

Water cooling questions...

I just bought water cooling off of someone on this forum and I was wondering how hard water cooling is to maintain? Is it hard to setup? Am I supposed to use anti-freeze like what some people say? And does it turn on automatically?

Athlon 1.2 Ghz running at 900 Mhz

Don't run at that high of a temp... You will get a lot of BSOD's, 70c is very high.. You might want a new fan !

Dragon Orb 3 any good?

It's not bad .. But if your not worried about fan noise, go with an SK6 w/ Delta... I run about 48c under FULL load, 40c idle ... 1.2@1.4 1.85v on Dragon Orb 3

For a 1.4Ghz Tbird: Dragon Orb 3 or Volcano II?

I'm using Dragon Orb 3 .. I wouldn't say it's a bad HSF, but if you don't care for noise... Get an SK6 w/ Delta fan (This IS very loud, only reason I didn't buy it) Dragon Orb 3 makes like an Airflow noise, as Delta makes a screaming noise... Water cooling is the best

Umm, does your motherboard have support for PC133... and why did you mix a PC100 with a PC133? The most I would say is get a PC100 stick

Hey... I just got rid of my optical mouse and it used USB, now I'm using a standard IntelliMouse Trackball (PS2, can't use USB) but yet it won't recognize it... As in, I can't move my mouse... Can someone help me?!
