I tried that, I tried setting the memory speed limit. Maybe the board isn't supplying enough voltage to the memory?

I am unable to get this system a hair past 205 Mhz HTT! I see people have taken it up to 290 :( Basically at any speed above 210 the system will just post but it will hang right after testing the memory Between speeds of 205-210 it will post but it will crash during the windows startup...

Help My gigabyte ga-k8nf board won't overclock. Anytime i increase the fsb past 201 Mhz, it says over cpu clock frequency and it hangs. I have an athlon 3000+ winchester geil 2x512 mb memory

P4b266-C or P4S533??

I would get the P4S533 because you can do much more with it. You can upgrade using the newer 533 FSB processors AND you can run the RAM in asynchronous DDR400. That alone puts it out of the reach of the P4B266. And besides, the SIS 645 chipset is a proven leader. --peroxide
