I don't know anyone who has this but the price looks very good. I need to break off relations with my current cable company and am considering this.

I don't think I had to give my s.s. to them. I paid with a credit card. I am very leary about the proof of claim form at this time. I hope others will give some insight to this.
I filed a dispute last month with my credit card company against Sunrocket and now I recieved this letter for a proof of claim. I guess I am uneasy with fact that they want your social security number. I am wondering if it could be a scam to get info from everyone?

I am coming up on my one year mark, so I have to decide to either stay with Sunrocket or try Viatalk.

Avash, have you ever recieved a rebate from Inphonic??
Must read
It is worth reading this when you are talking about hundreds of dollars. I hope a fellow ater doesn't get screwed by them like I did.
Inphonic has great deals, the catch is they don't follow through. Do a google search for Inphonic scams.:| I am currently being screwed by them, but don't take my word for it just do a little research on them.
How secure is VOIP? It's not like I need high security but it would be nice to have a little security when using the phone. On occaison I have to use passwords, social security, ....and other personal info over the phone. Any thoughts or comments on this?
I just signed up for the $99.00 deal May 29 2006 and have never used voip before. I was told the if you are downloading large files when you are on the phone you will have poor quality sound. Is this true? I almost feel like backing out oy the deal but probably won't.

Fis, I agree but I am out $200.00 and shame on me for not doing a little research -my loss. I was hoping to keep some fellow ater's from making the same mistake if for some reason when browsing Wirefly they are compelled to go for a deal with a rebate.:disgust:
Your thread has a lot of...
They look like great deals, however do a google seach on Inphonic and Wirefly and you will see horror stories. I have done a ton of rebates and have had great success. If the rebate is through Inphonic you will get screwed.:disgust:
You guys that got phones without rebates got a great deal.:)
I used Callwave about 4-5 years ago and it was great. It cost then .50 cents per month and you could here the person on the phone leaving the message while you were online. Callwave
