On 6/15 I will be dumping my Verizon dsl and Direct Tv to get cable and cable modem from optimum on line (just became available in my town}. The modem is $129.95 but they will credit it back in order to win over the satelite customer. I think I 'll send the $30.00 rebate in to make a little $$...
