Too bad we can't post coupon codes for time machines here.
Anyway, I like the Toshiba name and I haven't seen any DVD reader/CD Recorder combo drives for less than this and I happen to have a stack of DVD-R blanks.
I'm in, thanks for posting dennisjai215.
The credit card requirement is cheesy, but I've bought quite a bit of good cheap stuff from Acortech.
The VIA usb chip is not the best (from what I hear) but what the heck.
Back in stock @ $77: Mobile 35 Watt AMD Athlon XP-M 2200+, 266 MHz FSB, 512K L2
I was so excited, I forget to get the free calculator/alarm gift.
:brokenheart:
My mom said these scissors are cr@ppy. Well, she didn't say that exactly. . .
:)
Edit: different deal; she got the free 4-pc set with a coupon printed inside a cereal box.
I don't mind the sound of head movement, in fact I rather like the audible feedback. What drives me nuts late at night is the high-pitched whine of most HDDs when rotating.
Love my Barracuda V 80GB. I can't tell any performance difference compared to a WD 80GB JB (8MB cache).
WooHoo!, I got two for the price of one. Well, two pieces of the CD for the price of one. They are sending me a new disc tomorrow. So, looks like I'll have three pieces for the price of one. WooHoo!
:D
Nothing when I searched on "ecost", searching on "usb" there is a more recent thread and this more informative one.
I don't think trying for two different rebates on the same order would fly. Otherwise, I'd try for the "free" Viking 32MB USB drive also.
Like I said, I'm feeling lucky today...
I'm feeling lucky, I guess.
Subtotal: $29.95
Ground Service Shipping: Free
Handling & Processing Fee: $3.95
Sales Tax: $0.00
TOTAL: $33.90
Thank y'all that have posted.
Edit: yeah, the hidden add-on fee has always prevented me from ordering before.
Yeah, sure. Choose the bottom option (I think). I forget what it's called, "complete" maybe. It is not intuitively obvious by how it is labelled. From here, you pick and choose what you want. I agree, using the default install is not the smoothest way to go for a few reasons.
Edit: Maybe...
Thanks, PlatinumGold for the OP and also to tslugmo for the additional 22.2% discount tip.
I've been very happy with my SystemWorks 2003 Pro. I don't install CleanSweep nor the extra recycle bin (forgot what they call it). I didn't like GoBack the one time I used it (something went wrong...
My $0.02:
I've had SpecTek DIMMS where the Micron logo is xxx'd out. They worked fine for me @ standard FSB & SPD timings.
Kingston Value has never let me down and always seems to use "name brand" ICs.
All I know for sure: I'll never waste my time (and sanity) using pure generic RAM (again).
:o
Add $3.85 shipping to OP. I didn't have the patience to find S/H for the "not hot" alternative source.
I think Nero 6 is hot.
Roxio: not hot.

Good forum link, webley. Reading the entire thread it looks like the "veterans" don't exactly consider this model to be a POS.
I don't think I'll take up the hobby, I'm not that coordinated; I can barely type.
:confused::o:frown::Q
Heh, the landings look like controlled crashes in the video clip.
Looks very entertaining. I sent the URL to my dad. He was a teenager in the late 1930's when the first usable model airplane engines became available.
I was just over @ AMD.com forums. The newegg listing of 1.25V is erroneous. That voltage applies to the small-form factor low voltage series. I think the guy said it is actually 1.45V core. The FSB is 266 but with a flexible mobo and an unlocked CPU, who cares about that minor detail?
:)...
Poke around storagereview.com for a good review and forum discussion of the drive. If I had a modern motherboard I'd get one of these. . . if I had a job.
:P
"This is not an exhaustive list ..." No, but you must be exhausted (oh, that's right, you have a computer :D ).
"All monitors support lower resolutions, though they may do it badly." Certainly true for LCDs but I've never seen a problem with CRTs.
"Lots of people here also buy these Dells for friends and family who are not tech savy and can call Dell with problems instead of them. "
I'll drink to that.

$11.50 shipping.
I think newegg has the cheapest delivered price.
76 mm x 77 mm x 8.8 mm = 3.1" x 3.14" x 0.36"
If ya gotta have the smallest, I guess this is it. I think I'll just throw my old 2.5" 20GB in a generic USB enclosure.
Dang, I wish I could justify another case.
If the power supply works, this is a real deal.
Question: with the PSU mounted vertically, why don't the electrons fall out?
"$12 S/H? Ouch! "
The ecost extra add-on handling fee annoys me just enough to prevent my doing business with them.
Off-topic: anyone tried making a USB drive bootable that didn't come with boot utility software? My application is a T23 ThinkPad that can boot off a USB removable drive (I...
USB 2.0 128MB PNY: Staples
$39.94 + delivery - $10.00 rebate. (Free delivery if > $50)
Looks like a winner to me; the compactness is important if you plug in on the back side of a case.
