Poor cooling with megahalems

I have the same problem. I have a 2600k, Asus P8P67 Deluxe, and a Prolimatech Megahalems rev. B with a Scythe PWM fan, in an Antec P182 case. Idle temps are ~39 C not overclocked. I have reseated the CPU about 4 times now, and even pulled the motherboard to make sure the back plate is sitting...

Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

I just installed it a few hours ago. I like a few things about it such as colored tabs, "Accelerators," and "Live Search" (search with previews). The address bar also behaves in similar fashion to the one in FF3. I won't give up Firefox, but I'll continue to try out IE8 for awhile.

How can I find out when Windows XP was last restarted?

Download uptime.exe from Microsoft. Drop it in C:\Windows\System32. At a command prompt type "uptime." Type "uptime /?" to see a list of options.

KraziKid, You're right about Intel not officially supporting PC1066 RDRAM. However, that's not stopping a few mobo manufacturers from endorsing PC1066; namely ASUS which is bundling PC1066 RDRAM their with P4T533 motherboard.

Can I Leave my computer on 24/7/365?

The only thing bad about leaving your computer on 24/7 is that dust collects inside of the case real fast. Open the case up every now and then and blow it out with some compressed air.

Yes, The OEM version also has to be activated. You can activate via the internet. It will ask you if you just want to activate or activate and register. Registering is optional and is where you would need to give up some personal info. Activation does require any info.

Hard Drive Sounding Funny
