That's a possibility. It does offer a lot less power and looks mighty silly. Seeing these cars try their hardest as I would embarass them on the highway really might seal the deal for me. I'll keep the WRX in mind, thanks.

AWD doesn't suck. I would buy a one year old A4 1.8T over a new WRX anyday.

Are rally courses measured in quarter miles? 14 seconds is pretty slow and the WRX just does not have any balls over 80 mph. I guess most would consider it fast since most people here love Hondas and Toyota Corrolas and think those are the best cars in the world.
I think yes. Why this car costs what it does is absurd. AWD is nothing new and the car doesn't even handle much better than other cars in its price range. I guess the Subaru marketing machine did its job. It feels like a 15,000 dollar car that's marked up with about eight thousand dollars...

I drove a WRX when looking for a new car. It felt like a little toy. I bought a 2000 Camaro SS. I prefer the muscle car approach to cars... big engine, big wheels and lots of torque.
