    well, i got mine in today...Sapphire 9800 Pro 256MB...cost me 232.50$ it did 407/365 with default heatsink. at 412/365 which r XT speeds, the core was artifacting slightly....i slapped my vga silencer rev2 on, with some arctic silver 5, and 412/365 is now running with no problems and a warmish...

    just got me a 9800 XT for 232.50...hehe, neat ;) Well, it's 9800 pro 256 mb, but it's teh same gpu core and same ram as the real xt (even identical pcb), all it needs is some cooling and a bios flash ;)

    another update: got my plstics kit today, which included a batetry cover and new side grips. Everything works awsome now, this thing is like new, except that little scratch next to teh power button. Will update once i find out about the warranty situation.

    Umm, i consider every rebate a hassle...after all, u gotta spend time filling it out and mailing it. So calling to check up on it and to resolve any problems, is just a little bit more work. I don't really mind the rebates.

    Buffalo still uses BH-5 chips, which may not be a bad thing. From what i've read, CH-5 does not like high voltages, cause it's manufactured using 0.13 micron...But both will give you nice overclocks and tight timings. I am personally trying to decide between the two myself, and can't pick either...

    I think this is better, once they get it in stock: winbond ch-5 Not thread crapping, just rtying to decide for myself which one would be better. ch-5 is made using 0.13, so it should overclock even better than bh-5? Or will this pc3700 beat them all?

    be warned, OM is substituting kbyte ram for KINGSTON ram. Not quite clear how rebates will work out, since kingston has only one 20$ manufacturer's rebate.

    The Good: Agreed The Bad: Could've been worse The Ugly: Actually it goes to rebateshq, so this is not too bad. Yes it takes a long time to get, but they do come eventually, you don't even have to call as long as it shows up as valid on rebateshq.

    he is talking about spdif...that's for digital hookups. You do not need that for analog audio, you can use connections on the back. And yes you can have 5.1 sound, but you lose the mic and the line in connects (they act as rear and middle channels outputs).

    Just got mine, it was in fact a rebagged liteon, but with crappy verbatim firmware. 5 minutes of my time, and it's flashed with the latest liteon firmware. ;) As easy as it gets, and only for 9.50$ :D :P
