Yup. Very HOT. Fry's told us this store would open in December. I can't believe they're gonna miss the Thanksgiving sales. I too live in Sugar Land and this place is right across the street from the Park&Ride where I get off the METRO bus after work everyday. How convenient is that...
I think they screwed up on the original pricing because it was $100 + 15 shipping. Even buying direct from Antec was cheaper at $89 + 13 shipping. Hope no one bought from NewEgg at the original price.
The BQE is black color. See this.
I do. I have the same exact power supply running a P4 2.4C overclocked to 3.2Ghz, WD Raptor, WD2000JB. Can run 2 sessions of Prime95 all week.
yeba, one more time. Please edit your top post to indicate that these are NOT the same chips used in Corsair PC4000 or Buffalo PC4300.
These are using HY5DU56822AT - D43 while Corsair and Buffalo are using HY5DU56822BT - D43
A is 2nd gen while B is 3rd gen. They DO NOT overclock the same...
Oh man, I don't think so. It didn't even do CAS 2.0 at 200fsb. This ram is probably not so good for nForce2 boards since the memory performance is more sensitive to memory timings than higher fsb. For Intel 865/875, these are good since higher fsb usually give better performance than tighter...
By the way, these are not the same chips that Corsair and Buffalo PC4300 use.
They are using HY5DU56822BT - D43 while Kingstons are using HY5DU56822AT - D43
A is 2nd gen while B is 3rd gen which overclocks much much much better. 270fsb+ is very possible with 3rd gen while the Kingstons pretty...
Aren't you the one looking for inexpensive DDR that'll do 250fsb 1:1? You were pondering on the Buffalo PC3200 CH-5 right?
Well, I think these Hynix will do better than Buffalo because you can run CAS 3.0 thus go higher on fsb. I don't think the Buffalo will let you run CAS 3.0. Besides...
Went to local CC in Sugar Land, TX. They had 4 Hynix and 1 Samsung. Picked up 2 at the mentioned price. Testing one stick right now in my P4C800E Dlx. Passes Memtest86 at 245fsb 1:1, 3-4-4-8, 2.75 vDimm. Moving up to 250fsb will fail Test#5 even at 2.85 vDimm. Maybe it needs some burn in...
Tell you what, I do have an Intel rig. Asus P4C800E Dlx with 2.4C. I also have a spare stick of 512MB Buffalo pc3200 w/Winbond BH-5. If no one reports their findings by this weekend, I'll put that 1 stick in and see how high I can go. I still doubt it will do 250fsb. Right now, I have 2x512...
You can't go wrong with the NF7-S v2.0. The best and easiest board to overclock and extremely stable. Abit has excellent customer service as well. When I first got my board, I couldn't wake up from S3(suspend-to-ram) if I overclock. After weeks of research, I decided to post my problem on...
I think you can definitely go higher with that memory on an nForce2 board. Here are more details: 2 x 512mb in dual channel on Abit NFS-7 v2.0, 11-3-3-2.0, 238fsb, 2.8 vDimm(over 3v in motherboard monitor), Memtest86 stable, Sandra buffered memory score over 3500.
Going up to 245fsb required...
I was able to achieve 245fsb on NF7-S 2.0 board. I know of another person who got 247fsb on the same board. Granted, these were at very loose timings. I guess with all overclocking, it's luck of the draw. No guarantee on what fsb you'll reach. I think 250fsb may be asking too much for this...
WARNING
I see that some of you are running nForce2 boards and that's fine. I personally was able to get to 245fsb 1:1 on Abit NF7-S v2.0 with the CH-5 memory in dual channel(very loose timings)....BUT,
if you have an Intel 875/865 board and want to overclock to some insane fsb, stay away from...
Bought mine over a year ago for a bit over $100 from Staples. There were many complaints about this monitor. I did notice most of the complaints came from those manufactured in Mexico. Then, some complaints on those made in China. Luckily, mine was made in Korea, home of Samsung. I have no...
lol. I got both cases refurbed from NewEgg for about 50% off their original price (including shipping). Kingwin was in brand new condition with no evidence of ever been used. CoolerMaster looked like it was barely used with only a few thumbsrews missing which I easily replaced from the extras...
My Raptor in my CoolerMaster case sounded louder than my WD 120GB 8MB. But is it quieter than my Maxtor 80GB 8MB. BUT.......when I moved that same Raptor into my Kingwin aluminum case, it is quiet as a mouse. The difference I see is that CoolerMaster uses nice thick aluminum versus Kingwin's...
well, more news. All of the memory settings above were achieved with Abit's 1.4 beta bios(for NF7-S v2.0). Last night, I realized that Abit released the official 1.4 bios, so naturally I flashed it. Now, I could not get anything above 200fsb. Best I could do is 7-3-2-2.0 using default...
I was thinking about that. I did upped the chipset voltage to 1.7V (highest in my bios). Made no difference. But i don't have sufficient cooling in my case right now. Also, the NF7-S does not have a heatsink on the south bridge. I do plan on getting higher flow fans for my case and install...
Thanks Anomaly! Good to know.
Just out of curiosity, I relaxed all of the timings to see how far these memory would go. I couldn't get past 226fsb even at 2.9V (highest in my bios). But this does not mean you won't have better chance with 1 stick of 512MB or 2 sticks of 256MB or even running...
well, it wasn't stable so I upped the voltage to 2.8V. Also, I did some testing today and found something strange. I thought the lower I set the timings, the faster the memory. Well, Sandra disagrees. So far, I found that 7-2-2-2.0 scored the highest benchmark in Sandra. The score was quite...
Ok. I couldn't wait so I started upping the fsb. It is currently at 223fsb, 4-3-2-2.0 @2.7V, 2x512MB dual-chan. Pushing to 225fsb resulted in bsod. I'm reluctant go up to 2.8V right now. I'll burn in at this speed for a while until I have the guts to try 2.8V. I don't remember but at...
Just to report that my system is still rock staple(I meant stable, got too many good deals at staples) at the settings above after 2 days of continuous operation including looping 3DMark2001SE and Memtest86 when I am not using the PC. This weekend, I'll try to push it further by upping voltage...
Just got my 2x512MB TwinMos today. It has Winbond CH-5 chips. Right now running in dual channel in my Abit NF7-S v2.0 board. 200fsb @4-3-2-2.0, default voltage. Already ran several loops of Memtest86 without problems. 3DMark2001SE score went up 1000 points from some cheap PC2100 memory I...
I am using 128MB SimpleTech in this camera and it's working fine. See review here SimpleTech is much faster than the SanDisk. They are also the same price at Dell but SimpleTech has additional rebates starting from $10-$50. However, both cards seem to be fast enough for the A70 as quikah has...
Ordered on 4/10 and just received it an hour ago. Packing was very poor. But camera works fine. Slipped in the 128MB SimpleTech and tested movie mode at 640x480, no lags at all. Great camera.
Here is a review of several brands of Compact Flash cards. I was surprised that SanDisk 512 MB ranks almost the lowest speed-wise. I too just purchase this camera and almost bought the SanDisk 256 MB until I saw this review. By looking at the owner's manual for the Canon A70 on Canon's...
I think this deal is dead. I did not see any boxes for this item in the cart. But a few other items clearly showed Coupon box under the item in the cart.
Same problem here. I read their FAQ and there's supposed to be a blank line under the item in your cart where you apply the coupon code. However, I didn't see any blank lines in my cart. Fortunately, I have not completed my checkout and did not provide them my payment info. I've emailed them...
One of the features on this phone is:
I can tell you this is completely FALSE ADVERTISING!!! As soon as you speak to the speakerphone, sound from the other end immediately cuts off. Panasonic, VTech and Uniden have way better implementation of speakerphones and they don't even claim "FULL"...
My credit card still has not been charged after a full week. But many folks over at fatw* are confirming their $21.xx credit card charges. So, I feel more relieved now. I am still gonna wait till I see the actual charges next week before I break the shrinkwrap.
I am keeping my router shrink-wrapped until I know how much they'll charge my credit card account. It has not been posted for almost a week now. I will also dispute if they over-charge me. If that fails, this router is going back. Good thing we have plenty of time to mail in the rebate.
