Very nice deal indeed. I ran the 768/128 package for about 2 yrs b4 just switching to comcast cable. I'd make the switch back but upload speed is more important to me than the few dollars I'd save & our cable is 1500/256 & has been real stable. I certainly can't complain about the 2 yrs tho...
Very nice router.....had mine for a bit now, got it @ OM for $29 & thought that was a good deal at the time ;)
Whoever is having problems with this router & has to reboot it all the time is not too bright. Upgrade ur firmware....it takes minutes at most & this router runs flawlessly. Even...
Its a fine camera for that price. I've owned it for a year now I believe. Takes excellent pics if the lighting is good. Only thing lacking is optical zoom :)
Went to the Philly one last night...scored again thanks to my wife's ticket :)
That's 3 for 3 w/ these AMD events...1 last year, 2 this year. I gave the CPU to my cousin who went w/ me to both events this year and hadn't won anything...I've got one coming in the mail anyway, so AMD says ;)...
I lucked out and won a CPU. Cracks me up how they had no idea when we might get them or what CPU they will even be. The event was fairly well organized....I'd guess 500 attended. If you're hoping to get on stage for the BoB questions, study those mentioned in this thread as they were exactly...
Funny that the thread from the hot deals section on this CPU made the front page of overclockers.com and this one didn't. This one's got all the good info :P
The 1700+ Tbred is $20 more. It _should_ hit 2GHz on good cooling. Its more of a shot in the dark w/ the 1600+ Palomino's. I've owned 2 AGOIA 0213 Y's that one OC'd to 1900MHz max and the other hit 2030MHz max....meanwhile I had 2 1600+ AROIA Y's and one hit 1950MHz max while the other hit...
chizow,
My Palomino & Tbred temps are both being read from the inernal diode. I will look into the temp issue....perhaps I just had poor contact w/ my waterblock....if so, I'd think that'd allow for more headroom. If I could keep this chip in the 40c's like my pallie, I'd guess it'd run near...
Ok, I'm going to quote what I said in the other thread so that I don't have to type it all over again...but I see a claim up there that is not true that I'll address after.
The default voltage is indeed 1.50v. Its not the same as the 2400+ whoever said that up there :) Thats all for now :)
1st off...I didn't need to unlock this chip at all...and I doubt you did either....to get all mults under 12.5x that is :)
The L1's are already connected under the wafer surface...so you don't need defogger for this puppy.
Now, to performance.
I've noticed it running about 10c hotter than my...
mrhans,
You're not taking a few things into account.
1) The default voltage is 1.5v i believe...so it uses less power.
2) The stock speed is 1467MHz as opposed to the 1600's stock speed of 1400MHz...so if ur not OC'n(yea, funny, i know) it is faster.
3) The chip is unlocked from the...
I have 1 waiting for me @ fedex. If I get a chance I'll pick it up tonight and slap it in...I'll try to remember to come back here w/ the results as I don't frequent these forums so much anymore :)
So, what's the deal w/ showin up @ 7? Do ya have to be an AMD channel partner or do you have to have just signed up online for the show? I'll go @ 7 if they're gonna let me in :)
Man, that was alot of quality stuff for dirt cheap. Lets hope it all works. I actually stumbled upon this before I saw this thread...snagged a Chaintech G3 Ti200 for $49 shipped. :)
