I suspect it'll be hard locked to 300fsb like the 775i65G. Still, of the boards so far, it's my choice to OC an E4300 in a few months as a system upgrade.

I'm looking at a cheap upgrade myself, and since I don't game I'd love to use my 1GB DDR400 memory and ATI 9600 AGP card. With the current processors and an ASRock board that'll use them, I'm stuck at 300MHz FSB. So, a $300 E6400 & board combo gets me 2.4GHz. An E4300 with the same rig would...

I think I read in the manual that you can ONLY get 1066 FSB if you have DDR400 memory - you might want to check your manual for that.

Asrock 775Dual-VSTA vs. 775i65g for overclocking E6300?

I want to upgrade my trusty AMD Barton 2500+ box for *cheap* (otherwise it likely won't happen). I have a dual monitor ATI AGP card and 1GB of PC3200 memory, so I'd like to reuse those - hence my choice of the above boards. From what I've read thus far, the Intel chipset has a hard FSB limit...

Win98SE has domain rights but XP doesn't???

So, I tried using other teachers' logins on the WinXP box, as well as with my Win2k laptop. No go in either case. The login script that runs from the server never comes up. So I rebuilt her Win98SE desktop and got her a 17" LCD. Works fine, script runs, she's happy. I figure she must have...

Well, I blew up an Enermax, too (I don't want to be unfair!) ;-) Despite my experience, I'll continue to buy Antecs. They are still my choice - well made, quiet, and conservatively rated.

I lost a 380 a few months back. I was dorking around inside and I suspect I blew some dust in the PS where it shouldn't have been. As I didn't disconnect anything and my hands were nowhere near the box when it smoked, that's the only thing I can think of. Under warranty, and newegg's RMA...

Does PCI card draw power when disabled?

...heh... I DO use a laptop also, but I couldn't figure out how to make the PCI capture card fit in that damn little slot! ;-) I have an ADS USB capture unit that I tried to make work, but it just has too many disadvantages and I don't need portability the way I thought I would.

Does PCI card draw power when disabled?

I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR250 vid capture card that I only use very occasionally. This card runs hot, and I assume uses a good amount of power. If I disable the card in device manager (Win2k), does it still draw power from my Soltek SL-75DRV4 board? IS there any way to keep it from drawing...
