    The connection I am using isn't specifically noted. It is set-up for dirrect connection to the internet and says use Lan connections (or share the same connection with Internet Explorer). I didn't see anywhere that the smtp was listed!

    Exactly right ... that should fix it! Any time you have issues similar to this, always try to boot into the safe mode, before you do anything else. If what keysplayer2003 says to try doesn't fix it, then check your BIOS settings. If you are seeing the WinXP logo, your card is probably fine ...

    Okay ... usually in the BIOS set up screen you have a few options like "load fail-safe settings" and "load optimized settings". Try optimized first and then try fail-safe. Since you are monitoring your temp and don't seem to have a temp prob, then you probably don't need to mess with your hsf...

    I have swapped the vid card and monitor with known good ones ... Well, I got some more suggestions at work ... I am going to change the CMOS battery and swap the PSU with a known good one. (I'll post the results ...) My CPU is still under warranty but I'm not sure on the mobo (5 months old).

    Okay, unplugged the IDE cables from the mobo ... so basicly nothing is connected and it still won't even legibly go to the BIOS .... I wish I could test the CPU and/or mobo individually because right now I'm pretty sure it's one of them and hate to buy new of both if not necessary!
