Dude, that solution starts at 20K. We use SecureFTP here, but if you want the ssl option, it cost 2k. Yes, I'll state the obvious. The actual cost of the secureftp server is 500 BUT, the ssl option costs 2k. Go figure

PC Anywhere to remote PC, connect to a VPN server, lose control of PC

There really isn't a way around this, as the vpn client changes the routing table to pass all traffic through the tunnel. Most likely because the company doesn't allow split tunneling. I am assuming that your are not on the IT staff of the companies machine, as you should connect to pcanywhere...

Sorry if that post was confusing. what i meant to say is that since HP is carrying the AMD Server (so has IBM), its a good sign of tier one vendors validating AMD in the enterprise space.

Testing bandwidth/throughput/latency

for testing lan throughput and bandwidth, try netcps. It generates files (100 meg +) in memory and doesn't touch the hard drive. for windows but no gui =)

Well, if you refer to a beowulf cluster like for linux, thats a bit hard to do. But if you are asking if windows can cluster applications (like sql, iis, exchange, etc..) yes it can. But you need at least advanced server version of win2k or win2k3 for this to work
