Dead computer - help

My brother-in-law's computer just quit working. The first time he turned it on, it said he had a non-system disk. He rebooted, and nothing happened. Now, any time he turns it on, the cpu and case fan spin up, but nothing else comes up. It doesn't even sound like the hard drive is spinning up...

Computer dropping internet connection

Great antivirus software always up to date AND free!!

This is awesome! Looks like a very nice program, and the updates are frequent. I run McAfee now, but it really bogs down the system. But I'm using it because Norton wouldn't catch the Klez worm. I'll give this one a try.

Hot! Magellan GPS for Palm V for $49.95

This is a smoking hot deal. I've got the Rand McNally GPS, which is the same unit with a different name. Hopefully (and likely), the Magellan software is a lot better than the StreetFinder software that comes with the Rand McNally. I've ditched the StreetFinder software, and am very pleased...

RandMcNally StreetFinder GPS for Laptop PC for $24.50

I got a Rand McNally GPS unit for my Palm, which uses the same software as this unit. The software is hugely bloated and largely useless. The maps are at least 10 years old. However, that's still a great deal, even just for the GPS unit. Just find some different software and you'll be rockin'.

Samsung 955DF 19" Flat for $226 - $30 rebate

Phooey. I was going to get one for my sister. I have one (with the slideout tray), and I am very pleased with it. I haven't noticed any blurring with mine. I also have no trouble running it at 1280x1024, no flickering at all. Even without the rebate, it's still a good deal.

I got my free pens. They're very nice, and now my wife wants a couple. I believe the Aragon pens is one of the ones I ordered. It's a silver pen, with silver writing on it. Kinda hard to see the writing.

Do I Need Thermal Grease?

It says "Tear off before use." Thermaltake appears to be the brand of the fan. I assume, like you said, that it's thermal tape. Next question. If I remove that tape, and use AS2, how do I use it with the shim? I assume I only apply it to the core of the cpu (as I've seen on many websites), and...

Do I Need Thermal Grease?
