I need to find a preassembled (dell/gateway etc.) for my 12 year old cousin. I have been out of the loop for quite some time so I need some help with this decision.

No, you dont need an aftermarket cooler if you arent going to overclock. Your temps should be around ~40 C

(i tried 5/6 and other ratios as well but that didnt help)

i tried to changed the multplier thro bios of my NFS-7 2.0 but it would still show up as 11.5.
i tried multiplier 11, 12, 12.5, 13 ..but none of them worked...it would boot up as 11.5 and...
I see that numerous ppl have this bootup problem with NF7-S 2.0 on abit forums. But none of the threads really answer if there is a way to fix this.

where do i change the ram speed to 333mhz ?
memory timings are 5-2-2-2.0
right now i have XP 2100+..but i'm thinking of buying a XP 1700+ or 180+ t-b "b" to OC it. It will be my first attempt to really OC, cause i didnt get much out of the XP 2100+ (got it up to 2200+).

i have an epox 8k3a+
when i try to boot it up..it just gets stuck at "C1"..which means "detecting memory". I have tried 3 stick of ram, none worked; so i'm pretty sure the motherboard is faulty.
if you have, how much will it cost me??
my board was only warranted for 1 year, now if i send it back i have to pay them for repair.
If they gonna charge me like $50, then i might aswell buy a new board.

My 512mb ram arrived today so b4 putting it in i decided to clean out the motherboard with one of those compressed air sprays. After i was done, I put in the new Kingston PC 2700 512mb stick of ram and pressed the Power button. I heard a spark and then the burning smell; i turned the PC off...
