I stopped by the Brighton, MA store today, but before I post my findings I'd like to make one point. I'm not sure how much CompUSA is paying this liquidating firm, but they have earned every penny. They have managed to clear out virtually the entire store without offering anything remotely...
Those 50" plasmas sure are looking delicious. I started paying attention to the pricing just about Super Bowl time. Since then nothing happened until last week when I noticed a $100 price drop on the Panasonic "professional" version (...9UK). Having this HP drop to $1350 (before shipping)...
I stopped by a Boston store at around 10am. There was no sign of anything happening. After roaming through the store for about 15 minutes, I finally saw some employees with a huge stack of clearance signs that they started to hang. The signs said "entire store up to 20% off", which as far as...
Run a search for "CompUSA" on google maps, and compare the hits with the list above. Anything Google finds that isn't on the list is closing.
Anyone seen any deals on game consoles?
Looks like the 360 is about to get a price drop.

Got mine yesterday too. I'm very impressed. Definitely a step up from the A90's (which I was very happy with). Bass is very nice, but perhaps a bit overwhelming in music. Like DeltaQ said, this is nothing that can't be fixed by an EQ. On the other hand, they are flat-out awesome in games...
I bit. I'll let you know how they compare to the A90 since that is what they are replacing. Although my A90s have been resoldered so many times the sound is not what it used to be...
Does this code work on the PC135s? The main complaint on the 150's seems to be that the cord is flimsy. Since this is how I killed my last set, I'm more interested in the 135's which have a doohickey to keep the cord out of the way.
That last $20 drop might push me over.
edit: the front page review said this card was loud, can anyone confirm/deny that?
edit2: is it only noisy during gaming and start up, or all the time
No, I'm not joking. I've gamed all of about 15 minutes over the last two years. I have no clue what games are good and which ones aren't. I think I currently have a TNT ultra in my machine that I borrowed from a friend when the fan died on my Radeon 8500. The fact that the image vibrates on...
Oh, I'll be getting one soon. There's just no point in buying before my opteron 144 ships, and at the current rate I might save another $10-20 by waiting.
edit: now I see why you ask. Unless COD has a really lousy multiplayer, I'll be keeping the game.
Yeah, that evga is certainly the best deal I've seen so far. Even better than the Dell BFG after rebate and coupon (warranty and price are about the same, but the higher clock on the evga and the evga "funny money" are the tiebreakers.)
Lucky ba**ard. I've been looking for that second Dell coupon everywhere.
I saw that FW post too, and I was also suspicious. Seemed too good to be true.
It isn't possible. I've been trying to find it for the better part of two weeks. In fact, it should be easier now because both SB and Home have the 10% off automatically, but 20% off coupons are nowhere to be found (unless you are buying a monitor).
Sunday 10/16 has "up to 45% off select accessories". For those of us that have been tempted by the bfg7800gt, that looks promising. Of course the rebate expires tomorrow, so unless that is extended, and the 7800 happens to be "select"...
Ahhh screw it.
I will not buy a video card for over $300.

Looking at the specs on the website, I'm not even sure this is up to 7800gt stock speeds (without overclocking). Ok, nevermind. I guess 3DFuzion is the only manufacturer that doesn't factory overclock their 7800gt.
I need this card to drop in price to force the 7800gt under $300 (perhaps with a deal or two).
btw, it looks like the only 25% Dell coupons are only for laptops, not accessories.
Hmmm, here they have 80mm fans for $1.40 when you buy ten or more. That works out to "buy two, get eight free". I've never heard of spire, but I need some 80mm fans.

Are any of these stackable? Are there any stackable coupons out there? I'm trying to get that 7800gt into my range (sub $300). $420-30MIR-35coupon=$355. A 15-20% off stackable coupon and all of a sudden I'm in business.
This deal has been around a while, but I haven't seen it here and it is definitely hot. This gizmo plugs into your home network (wired or wireless B), pulls the mp3's off your hard drive and plays them over your stereo or home theater. It is currently going for $190 at the 'Egg, but Radio...
What is the difference between this and the Fatal1ty? The active cooling doesn't exactly explain the $70 price difference. (actually, I'd pay more for the passive solution, one less thing to break)
