Thanks. Took it to the course over the weekend. Got a lot of attention on the driving range as I mucked around with different shafts. After a few shots with each flex, I determined the regular works best for me (and all along I thought I was a stiff flex).
This driver (Alpha) is loooooong.
Well-said. Both lessons and better equipment can improve your game obviously. Some people are just really emotionally attached to their own clubs and need to justify their lack of recent club purchases ;)
Anecdotally, I've gained about 20 yards on my drive from better swing mechanics and...
Oops... my bad Random Variable. I'm with you then I guess. You can buy improvement.
Gag should just throw away those shiny steel shafts and that fancy space-age titanium lol.
Oh the irony. Now you're saying all this technology and innovation is useless and "you can't buy improvement". And a few posts prior, you said the golf-like innovation in baseball would cause 1000-ft homeruns.
Hyperbole much?
Sorry, but I'm kinda tired of hearing this elitist attitude. No amount of technology can make a golfer change his drive as dramatically as some people want to make you think. 20 extra yards? Maybe. A little straighter on off-center shots? Uhh... that's a good thing.
The USGA puts in...
Can't wait for the long weekend. I've already got my tee times booked for Sunday AND Monday. Here's my new toy:
Golf Channel on interchangeable drivers
My car is parked in the garage such that I can't get another car directly in front of it. My jumper cables aren't long enough, but I've got 2 of them. Serially connecting them should let me reach the battery... but I'm wondering if this is safe?
Anyone done this before?
Thanks in...
I'm building a form to upload resumes for a friend's company. I'm thinking of limiting it to just .doc files (just for simplicity).
Does everyone have a word version of their resume? I assume .doc and pdf are still the most popular formats...
Thanks
Thanks Will. I'll look into this. I'm basically trying to get a phone number I can give out for companies/people to text message me... not sure if this fits the bill, but I'll see!
Is there a service (paid or free) where I can get a phone number for people to text message me?
I'd rather get these messages in my email or on a webpage somewhere than give out my personal cell phone number to people...
If someone can point me to a free service, I'll send you $5...
I'd like to listen to some music without having to actually visit myspace. Is there a way to grab their flash player and embed it on my blog?
Or does myspace need to open an API in order for something like this to be possible...
Thanks
One last bump for the late night crew.
It doesn't look like our site is going to win, but feel free to put in a vote if you'd like to help MyChurch get an honorable mention :) And even if we don't, many thanks to the kind folks above for putting in a good show. Dogster.com and...
Thanks guys - can you all vote in the poll as well - that would be great.
I'm trying to decide which license to buy. They're about the same price. I'm mostly concerned with US addresses. (But our foreign friends are more than welcome to voice their results too :))
Wanted to do a quick poll to see which IP address lookup is more accurate in your case. Both of these links look at your IP address to estimate your city, state:
http://www.ip2location.com/
versus
http://www.maxmind.com/app/locate_my_ip
This takes all of 10 seconds... Thanks for...
Thanks for the feedback - of course, we'll have a search field. But it would be really cool if I can figure out approximately where you live and dive in accordingly.
I've heard maxmind.com is more accurate than ip2location. Any developers have experience with that?
I'm making a google map mashup of a chain store that can zoom you in to your geographic area based on your IP address.
The goal is that any visitor to the website will see all the stores around his area without him even having to tell us his location.
I'm thinking of buying this...
Nail->Head.
Lots of people want read-only access to Facebook. Buyer and seller agree that all personal information is changed upon transfer INCLUDING email address. Happens all the time
I need a facebook account. I haven't had a .edu address for years, and I don't want to wait for this auction to end.
Send me a PM if you're willing to part with yours...
For the inevitable "Why in the world are you buying a facebook account?" - we're doing some research for a company...
My developer doesn't have a mac, but says Konqueror is based on the same KHTML. Will Safari-compatibility issues also show up as Konqueror-compatibility issues?
Thanks
