If you have the time and the patience go for it. Just be aware that every step affects whats next from framing to finish. Mistakes are harder to cover up as you move along.
Example:
Twisted framing lumber can create a lump or dip in the wall.
Make sure you have nailers for drywall in...
I just started to build up an Intel SE7520BD2 that I acquired for $70.
2 2.8gzh Xeon
2 Gigs PC2700
Onboard Rage XL
Open slots:
PCI64
PICE 4x
PCIE 8x
PCI33
So is there an obvious choice? PCIE 8x video cards seems nonexistant. Should I just get a standard PCI card? Would that...
I still use my first wallet, so thats about 10 years ago. Been through the wash a few times, only recently started to show its age. I've gotten a few others over the years as presents, but never switched.
I've been building them for about 12 years, my current case is an enlight that I purchased in 2000 with a thunderbird 1200. So that being said, I'm willing to go up to $200. Just looking for good ROI. 120mm fans(noise) remain most important vs. sliding tray. The P180 seems to have...
Need some opinions on a foundation for my next/first case mod.
My criteria is minimal:
tooless design
120mm case fans
sliding mobo tray
Ultimately it needs to be easy to work on and well constructed. Dont need a PSU, sharp edges, fancy doors, or other gimmicks. The case will be...
Oldest thing I could google was a usenet post about cdrom drivers from february 1996. Usenet doesn't prove anythin gother than having acess to a BBS with newsgroups or AOL. I got my shell account in april 1994, I was upgraded to PPP w static IP and a subnet that summer. No quota and I still...
Family Fued. With Richard Dawson, he was da man. He gets his swerve on with every contestant and their husbands watch and love it. Ray combs was horrible, louie is worse.
I enjoy the convienence of having somebody else pump my gas, I can relax in the car, or go inside and buy something at the usual quickemart. I think the theory in Jersey is that it creates jobs, and I'd imagine lots of cars and more highways per square mile would mean lots of gas stations...
I bought these at BJ's a few weeks ago for $32.99 with a rebate. I bought them because it said made in taiwan, I was hopinh they would be taiyo yuden, but they are riteks.
Another place to get lots of taper friendly bands in both .SHN and MP3 formats is Furthur. It a %100 legit file sharing program like napster and allows for transferring files from multiple sources at the same time. It also automatically MD5 verifies the shows after they are completed. A lot...
Alright, I think I might just take a chance with this. I assume there is no way to tell if they are OEM by the model/serial #? There is always a possibility that these drives will work when I get them home anyway. Thansk for the input.
I was at a computer show today in New Jersey and there was a lot of people selling items from auction. Of particular interest were some hard drives. They are sold as is, $30 for a 40 gig western digital or $35 for a 46 gig IBM. The manufacturer dates were mostly 2000, so if I buy one of these...
I have experienced this memory leak as well. It seems AIM will eat up all of your virtual memory if you leave it running. After 2 days or so the VM is over 100megs! Not sure if it's the same problem, but just restarting the application releases the memory back. Might be worth a try if you leave...
