Toshiba OS help

A friend of mine bought a Toshiba from a guy he works with and ended up having to replace the hard drive recently since the old one crashed. Every time he tries to install WinXP Pro on the laptop it keeps asking for the system disk. The guy he bought it from can't find the original disks that...

SoundBlaster Audigy LS problems

What is supposed to be used for 3D acceleration then? I'll try dinking with the mixer settings again but I fear it won't do much since I spent 4 hours last night doing the same thing. What IRQ should I assign if I go ahead and manually set it?

SoundBlaster Audigy LS problems

The computer recognizes the card and sets it as the default and the dignostic software that comes with the card all checks out ok, but I still have no sound. I've checked all the basics like volume and even tried plugging the speakers in to different ports.

The Soyo BIOS has selections up to 18x multipliers, so I would figure that it's able to OC. How do I know for sure, does anyone use or had success in OC'ing the KT-400 mobo? (I believe the KT-333 mobo is also the same)

Fan filters- fabric or aluminum?

I just bought some of those filters that are normally used in house vents and cut them to the size I needed, so far they are doing an excellant job. Only 4 bucks at Wal-Mart and still have 3/4 a pack left.

if multipliers above 12.5 aren't available, why does it show up in both my bios and my manual? The selections go all the way up to 18. And just to note (if it helps), this is the Ultra KT-400 mobo not the standard.

HHC-001 ?

Has anyone tried using the new Aerocool DP-101? It's a radiator type HSF and, by the specs, looks to be really quiet. I just don't want to drop more money on a whole new HSF unless I know it will be able to work better or equal to my current set-up. Thanks Aerocool DP-101

HSF advice

So far the Coolermaster HHC-001 (all copper) is working out great, as long as you make provisions for a quiter fan. It is quite loud, I got mine from Newegg for 26 bucks.
