So Paypal isn't charging you the $1 even though you're using an ATM? Sure beats going to the drug store to buy a chocolate bar and asking for $100 cash back!
I seem to remember reading about this for my thinkpad. The backlight will only work for so many (like several thousand or hundreds of thousand) hours. The more you can turn it off the better.
I'd stay away from inkjets. The colors tend to fade with time, and they're not as good as dye sublimation. That being said, there are some dye sublimation printers out there, but the cost per page makes it more economical to use snapfish or another service for prints. So, if you want prints...

I'm not sure I really appreciate the difference between deionized water and distilled, except that distilled water is cleaner. We distill our deionized water to completely remove all metals (we need metal-free water).

transcript of live help session:
JasonB says, Hello from NextCard. How may I help you?
You say, does the closure of nextbank affect my nextcard card?
JasonB says, No. You can still use your account like normal.
You say, will I still be able to get amazon gift certificates?
JasonB says, Yes...
I'm a little confused, "www.nextbank.com, is a wholly owned subsidiary of NextCard, Inc." (http://www.nextcard.com/about.html). The FDIC statement says that nextbank, not nextcard is closed.
Nonetheless, I can't get to my amazon points. Anyone know of any other cool VISA reward cards?
