hello, i was wondering, does anyone think it would be possible to flash my nf7-s v2.0 motherboard with the new nf7-s2 bios? i figure it's the same motherboard... but also would there be any advantage? it might have some extra stuff maybe...

AMD Heat t-bird vs barton.

hmm, with the added heat using barton vs tbred, is it worth getting barton over tbred because of the extra 256k cache?

hmm, very interesting!! did you mean right-most L3 bridge? not L1 bridge.. anyway, yesterday I cut right-most and middle L3 bridge (3rd and 5th), by defaul they were all closed (11x) and by opening 3rd and 5th I should get a multiplier of 13x... this caused my system not to post unless I hold...

good idea!! I didn't think of trying all the multipliers, all I tried was 5x and 12x above (the highest one, there is not 13x option) both of those weren't working, and I got fed up of my system not posting so I re connected the 2 bridges!! hehehe oh well, at least it works now... @ 1.66ghz :(...

yup, 13X multiplier the system never posts, UNLESS I hold down the insert key which defaults the cpu to normal, and then it displays athlon 1300... which indicates 13X 100.. but then I can go in bios and change it to 12X and above (there's nothing past that), X 100fsb and set the voltage to be...

ok, I suck!! I just cut 2 L3 bridges (3rd and 5th) just like it shows on http://www.beachlink.com/candjac/Workarounds.htm and now, my computer won't post!! any ideas why? and I guess I have to reconnect the bridges now?

very interesting guys... I know my board sucks!! it's really old, and it is the next thing I will be upgrading... I already got myself 1gig of cheap kingston ddr333 cl2.5 (I got this for real cheap otherwise I would've got ddr400) and I will buy an nforce2 board with a NEW TBRED B!!! my friend...

ok well does anyone else know? I remember reading about a bridge on the top of the cpu, just 1 bridge that you connect that would give you higher multipliers... I don't remember where I saw this, I should've bookmarked it does anyone know of this mod? or any other way to get higher multipliers...

yup, I will be, but I'm gonna get a tbred B with my nforce (-: but until then, I want to run at 13 or 13.5 x 133 instead of 12.5 ... so you don't know how I mod the CPU? does anyone know? and all nforce boards will allow me to go above 13? or just certain boards?

I'm pretty sure running your FSB @ 400 is not limited by the CPU... it's the motherboard & memory that have to support it... me too I'm looking into this because I want to run FSB400 DDR400!!! so I'd definetly get the best DDR400 so you can run it @ CL2, and the only problem is finding a good...

Duron 1.2 Heat Problem?

it really shouldn't be running that hot!! maybe your motherboard is reporting the wrong temperatures.. but you can try to lower the voltage.. also check the I/O voltage.. should be around 3.3 and for the core voltage, you might be able to bring it down to around 1.65 since you're not overclocking..

2100+ Successful unlock...Anybody out there?

hey man, very very interesting... the 2100+ is it tbred or palomino? because my friend has a duron 1300 and wants to unlock it... he wants to run it at 333fsb instead of 200!!! it to has multiplier of 13 (13x100) just like the 2100+ is 13x133 = 1733 so I thought the only way to unlock it...
