Backup in XP?

I will check out powersync, but I was hoping for a free solution. I tried a synchronizer called vice versa, but it just exactly failed to do what I want.

odd 10 second freeze in XP

My machine is not on a network, and I have no 10 second pause. Regardless if i'm on network or not.

Backup in XP?

PS! In a perfect world, the synchronizer should be able to remove (on confirmation) deleted files from my backup. A file can be deleted on purpose, or by mistake...

Thanks but no thanks, My experience with microsofts backup utility is far from good. They change format with new versions of windows, and I risk not being able to access my backup if I use another version of windows. Its not a synchronizer, which I prefer.

You can boot both Win9x and WinNT(XP) from the same partition, But they cannot both reside on the same drive. You will run into too many problems, both with Windows itself, but also other programs. The only practical solution is to use 2 drives or 2 partitions. As to the why, I guess it is...

Backup in XP?

I'm really lazy, so I got this new harddrive for backing up my work... I thought I could use Briefcase, but I can't find it??? It also seems a little awkward with the guides in XP helpfile. I would like to be able to select strategic folders I want to backup regularly to this new harddrive, only...

Yes I got that message, But the issue was how to get rid of the delay, when recovering from errors. By the way... You must have correct bios settings for Geforce 3, when using the new Detonator drivers. Don't shadow VGA bios. AGP aperture should be 128 MB at least. I had problems because I also...

I use newest official Detonator driver for Geforce 3 I dont allways know why it crashes, but sometimes due to experimenting with my hardware options. It dosnt crash often, but it happens and it seems encredibly stupid, that you have to wait for 10 seconds, without any option to just go on with...

Slow restart in XP

When rebooting XP after crash, it needs to check harddrives. But a very annoying delay of 10 seconds is default. How do you skip the pause, without skipping the checkdisk? Would it be possible to shorten this delay?
