Quick Question about a Gigabyte Motherboard

you can overclock those gigabyte board big time without even changing voltages...if you really want to get in to it start palying around with multipliers and bus speeds and colyages you will be suprised at how good these boards are!

if there is a vga conector on the mobo then it has onboard video...which is probrobly better the a gefoece 7600 gt,,,because you can assign up to half of the installed ram to the video card on the gigabyte boards. I would recomend installing 512 -156 megs too video card and guess what you willbe...

isnt it amazing that we dont have fiddle around with drivers and everything is on baord video,network, and sound how easy is that...when I built my computers I had to install sound cards, video cards and network cards....then I would get conflicts with hardware and drivers now a child can...

use a gigabyte or asus board with onboard video you can use up to half of the installed ddr2 ram I built 2 identical systems with onboard video and they rock gigabyte board 4 gigs ram 2 gigs assighned to video chip it rocks and plays almost any game you throw at it Crysis runs a little...

i forgot to mentioon that it is a barcode machine for shipping labels I dont want comma seperated files I want to pull the OS and Software off of the ide machine to a serial drive machine, I tried a few tecniques but ccan onlky get comma seperated text files I cant get the os or apps that are...

I have a DVD problem

The dvd was profesionally made for my friend . There is no chance of lawsuits since he owns the rights to it. Thanx 4 ur concern anyway monzie. The problem I'm having is that the files are .vob and.bup and .ifo but I think the only one that is the actual video is a 121 meg .vob file..too...

Ok...then a usb 2.0 card will only give me about half of the usb 2.0 rated speed (480 mbs) if it is plugged into a pci slot(32bit)... is that correct?

USB 2.0 through a PCI Slot? :confused: :confused: :confused: Will I get 480 Mbs through a 33Mhz PCI slot if I buy a usb card that plugs into a normal pci slot? I don't know but I don't think it is possible to get that kind of throughput with a pci card... correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks lifeguard. Can I set them to the fastest settings I have ocz ddr ram that is supposed run 400 mhz. Abit kr7a raid 133, athlon xp1800+ cpu, IBM 60 gig 7200 rpm hard drive, Asus geforce 3 ti 200 with the latest drivers and the latest from via as well.

I fixed it...what I finally did was uninstall the adapter, shutdown the computer, then then the router, then the cable modem.Then I turned on the cable modem first, then the router then the computer and I got the proper IP address. thanks anyway everyone.
