My order info says I have 2 Fedex packages on the way. I wonder if they will be what I ordered or a couple of catalogs... I used Amex and a small rebates card and the $30 coupon. We shall see....
I got this when it was on clearance from Costco for $149. It is a very good receiver, sounds as good as my 914 which cost more than twice as much. This is a 6.1 receiver.
I ordered the Platinum Raid version and I could not get a post or a beep with 3 CPUs and 2 PSUs, 3 video cards. I RMAd it and the new one still has issues but I got it to run. Restarts are horrible: I have to turn the power off to get it to reboot after restarting or shutting it down.
Walmart is always crowded. Their vegetables look a bit picked over. I give other supermarkets and Kmart a chance by checking prices out there first. They are never as crowded. If potatoes are $1 a 5# bag at Harris Teeter I would rather spend the few cents more there and walk a lot less. We...
The ED vs. HD debate is a difficult one.
I went into Bestbuy fully prepared to buy an HD plasma display, but then I looked at the ED panels sitting next to the HDs. The Panasonic ED 42" display looked real good to me at my viewing distance of 10 feet, where I would be sitting on my couch...
Tamron makes a sharp, light zoom 28-75 lens for the XT which is a great buy for the money at about $370 which with a $40 rebate, makes it about $330. It is not an L Canon lens but it isn't $1000 either. There are a lot of reviews which speak well for this lens wich has a 6 year warrantee. I...
I have the GS-120. It is a great camcorder, but image stabilisation is so so. The 1 megapixel still pics are fair at best. The 2.3 megapixel still camera in the new 150 should be quite a bit better. Looks like it is closer to the GS-200 than the GS-120.
Went by OM to buy a Toshiba 512mb SD card and saw one of these sitting there, picked up the last one here in Burlington, NC. It rang up at $49. Thanks!
Best time to get a grill is end of summer. Last August I got a Weber Gold B at Sports Authority for $265. The Silver A was about $150, and the Silver B about $199.
Don't forget that at the store they will honor a Staples coupon ($20 off $150) and if you have a rewards number that is another 10% or so off. I will have mine for about $110 plus tax. I just installed it today after a dreaded clacketty clack HD failure of my primary drive. It has taken be 7...
I used a Staples email $20 coupon, and I am a OD Rewards customer (another 10% off purchase price, maybe $20) so that should get the price after rebates down to about $110. I have had good success with OD rebates, they are usually pretty quick.
This is a very good photo printer. Very fast, 2 paper trays. Text is so so, depends on paper. Rated well by PCMag.com. The price is fair, as I got it at OD a few weeks ago with a coupon for $100. You can usually find it for about $150 minus a $30 rebate or gift card.
I think the photos from the ip4000 are better than the S900. The dots are finer. The ip5000 has smaller dots, pcmag rates the ip4000 above the 5000.

I got the ip4000 last month on an OD special with a $20 coupon for about $100. It has one more black cartridge, but otherwise I think they are the same. Incredible photos. Text is so-so, I have to try some more papers. Very frugal on the ink, compared to my older S900 which clogged up.
It takes 8 weeks to get rebate according to the rebate form. I got in on this deal on Saturday. The card works like a charm. Now the CPU is the bottleneck, so that's the next upgrade....
I went back to Sports Authority today and they rung up the price in the system, which came out to $210.66 less than what I paid, so they credited my CC even though it is 2 days past the price adjust time limit of 6 days. Total I paid for my Genesis Gold B was $253.10 plus tax, or $270.81. Not...
Figures: I bought the Gold B on Thursday last week at Sports Authority for $449.95, and here they go for 25% off that this week... oh well, needed it to cook for visiting relatives, so I got some use out of it. 8 steaks and some chicken breasts all at the same time... It gets hot real fast...
It...
Ducane went bankrupt, then it was bought by Weber. The warrantee will be covered by Weber on a prorated basis, but not lifetime. Some of the reviews I have seen show that there were QC problems before the end for Ducane...
Sad, as they were a family owned US maker. Most of the grills you see...
Hey parato
I thought I had a bad psu or something and it turned out to be the CPU: I had inadvertantly smeared Arctic Silver onto the SMD components and it would not post, or it would quit erratically. Turns out after cleaning that stuff off with paint thinner the CPU was fine, presto all...
Got my 350 today an dit seems to work so far. Replaced my reliable old backup PC Power and Cooling 235W PS. If it dies I will update. Cool bright LEDs.
Looks like I jinxed myself: my computer is starting to conk out randomly and I think it might be the 235W PSU: I just ordered one of these 350W units, hope it takes care of the problem. $17.99 plus $6 UPS shipping to business address.
I have often wondered if my measly 235W power supply needs updated: I have an XP 2000+ with an old Geforce 3 card and it still seems to work well. I just missed out on these 450 and 550 W PSUs. I'll keep checking tho...
I extend my warranty by using my Amex card: it adds up to a year to the original warranty.
I once bought an extended warranty for a CTX computer (Best Buy) and they replaced my motherboard (in house) and hard drive (twice) making it well worth the money.
Since then I have assembled my own...

You think that is heavy try picking up the Mitsubishi 40". It was the biggest of the picture tube TV sets before they discontinued it. I don't know how I am going to move this baby once it dies on me: 250 lbs!
