Generally speaking it should work, obviously at the lower speed supported by the mobo. Just to be safe, go to the mobo manufacturer's web site and look for the memory compatibility listing.

I have an Asus V7100Pro GeForce2 MX400 64MB - default clock settings are 200/200. Whats the highest stable o/c settings you have achieved without extra cooling? I am using Coolbits to o/c. Thanks.

Computer will not reboot/shutdown...

New wave of HDs. What to get?

Western Digital makes some of the best 7200rpm drives out there, especially with the 8MB buffer. But, you may want to wait for the new serial ATA 150 drives, although that will require a mobo upgrade or add-in controller.

Which direction should the heatsink fan blow?

Sorry John, but you got it backwards! The heat sink draws heat away from the CPU, and the fan sucks the heat away from the heat sink to cool it - it shouldn't blow on it, that's not as efficient thermally.

Sharing broadband connection

Easiest way is to get a router designed especially for broadband I/C sharing. I recommend the D-Link DI-704P, it works with DSL as well as cable. Wireless costs a lot more, stick with Cat5 cabling.

Mixed O/S network with D-Link DI-704P router

hard drive partitioning

Go with two partitions - one for the O/S, the other for your apps and data files. In addition to the defrag point raised above, you may have to reinstall your O/S and this will make life easier. If you are setting up a dual boot, then you need a third partition for the second O/S.
