    I had the same problem ... :( So, upon some usual tweaking around, I figured if I disabled ACPI, the system would start working properly... do that and see if that helps.

    I agree with DevilsAdvocate you can probably buy a KT333 mobo for as low as 70-80 $$ ... and nforce2 is going to be a kicka$$ mobo for people who want everything under one roof. for processor the best bet would to get XP1800+ - XP2100+ ... don't get XP2200 I 'll say. when Hammer releases, go...

    I have an IBM DeskStar 60GXP (IC35L040AVER07) ... 40GB disk... I have started to notice random lockups on my computer and a couple of times when the computer lockup, I noticed that the hard disk started making clicking sounds. And it just doesn't stop ... just like stuck in an infinite loop...
