LOL! This kind of ignorance should be illegal...and wannabee moderators attempting to quell legitimate discussions should be a NO NO here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FTA stands for FREE TO AIR. Free means free. Just like standard analog television, AM and FM radio, and even GPS.
Of course it is not...
This is an amazing monitor.
(I'm looking at mine as I type.)
Excellent performance, rotating screen, thin bezel and elegant styling.
These moitors don't go on sale much.
I would highly recommend it!
Uh, yeah. But what di YOU get?
My MCE came with one number. I don't know if it's good for ten activations.
Did you get one,
or two,
or five numbers for MCE?
Is it two copies or ten copies of MCE? There is one serial on the back of the disc sleeve.
Usually they give ten licenses, but that wasn't clear for MCE.
By the way for all you October Action Packers (that doesn't sound right...), they failed to include the Windows XP (the gold disc copy...
Remember, folks. Print out the eMachines Extended Warranty page and take it in when you buy your laptop. BestBuy will most likely match the price on the Extended Warranty, or more likely reduce the price of your laptop. (They took $110 off for me and for others) The BestBuy warranty is...
Re: Extended Warranty
Print out the eMachines warranty and take it into Best Buy where they will pricematch it if you ask nicely. Actually they may reduce the price of the computer, which is even better (although it would be unethical if you did it intentionally, extended warrantys are 100%...
Any group or individual that has such obvious contempt for the Office of the President of the United States of America has no place in Presidential politics in the first place. You really want these guys to influence the selection of the next President? Pathetic.
Don't you guys have any respect...
Cornivore, you would think that would be true but when you sign up you agree that they can change programming without notice. That never was much of a factor before but now you can see how it can play out. You sign up for a year contract (or two years) with big termination fees, two weeks...
Mr. Coyote, I think you're missing the point. This is a bad policy. If they want to avoid having open CDs on the shelf they shouldn't put them there. It doesn't encourage less copying, it just screws people who accidentally buy the returned garbage Target has put back on the shelf. I did call...
Ahhh...yeah, okay.
1) LOL! Well I sure as he|| am pleased that Target will be incrementally improving the integrity of their inventory! Great way to go about it...
2) LOL Part Deux! Listen, I am not trying to make anything sound like anything! I am relating a first hand personal...
Thanks for your insight and personal experience. I'm glad you haven't had a problem like this. However, in the few hours this has been posted members have shared other examples of the same thing happening to them. Others have observed tampered boxes on the shelves at Target. I am just telling...
That is exactly what I mean by FRAUD. Either people are returning incomplete/defective products (in the case of one product actually shrinkwrapping a partially empty box), stealing things in the store, or employees are stealing stuff and leaving the boxes on the shelf. That is the fraud...
The "Return for same item only" has always been the policy at my Targets for music/DVD/Software. The "you can't return it" policy is new as of yesterday according to the store manager I spoke with. An edict handed down from corporate on high...
Thanks for your comments. Yeah, the big point for me was that they DID change the policy in between when I bought, and when I went in to exchange the defective product. The policy at the time I purchased was: "If opened, this item can only be exchanged for same item." If the policy was: "We...
I just learned the unhappy news that TARGET JUST CHANGED ITS RETURN POLICY (corporate memo)! You can no longer return open software/music/dvd in store if the package is open and something is damaged or missing. Seriously, either do not buy music/software/dvd there or open it at the cash register...
CAREFUL AT TARGET!!! (or any store with this game)
TARGET JUST CHANGED ITS RETURN POLICY! You can no longer return open software/music/dvd if the package is open and something is missing. Seriously, either do not buy music/software/dvd there or open it at the cash register when you purchase...
I just picked one up in N. CA. It has the Hitachi 5400 RPM, 8 MB cache drive.
Drove by Starbucks on the way out of the parking lot and it picked up the tmobile wireless net...
I can't get the serial number right now.
I haven't tested for dead pixels yet, or tried DVD. BBuy "pricematched"...
From what I read below (from 'BARtMAN' s link) it looks like you cannot get points when you buy online, pick up in-store. (unless you can do a return/repurchase). I was trying to do that because there is a new $10 off $150 link at fwa11et. Tax is a killer for me at $128 so I'm trying to...
Can anyone elaborate on the benefits of the "M" Pentium vs the P4 or Celery models of these laptops? I'm always surprised at the price difference, for instance, between a 1.4 M vs. a 2.4 P4 (the "M" always being a lot more expensive). And how do either of those compare to the Athlon Mobile...
Now that I think about it, with these NFR-stamped-but-otherwise-looks-like-retail-boxes going out I wonder if MS is dumping inventory before the end of the year. Maybe they greatly overestimated Server sales for this quarter and just need to get the packages out of their warehouses to clear...
What use is this software to you and Microsoft, why did they send it to you?
MS hopes you will install it and use it to see how just how simple setting up an office network is. In doing so you may learn that certain IT support people are unnecessary at your business. You may save money for...
Wow...that was really helpful and intelligent. Guy honestly asks for help and you helpfully inform him to get help. Mmmmhmmm...
Salvador, I'm reading up on it myself. Trying to decide if there is any benefit to using it over XP Pro for my purposes. I have to admit it IS very difficult to...
XxDaTxX, cool, thanks for your advice. I was thinking of maybe having the webserver in the DMZ with a software firewall. Our PCs share files just fine on the internal network, either wired or wireless. I have never looked to see whether they show up externally...Hmmmm... Anyway thanks for the...
Except you can't use the $10 rebate if you pricematch, so add $10 to that deal. You should be able to use the $60 rebate but i'm not positive.
You are correct though, in store there are definitely TWO rebates that are stackable if you don't PM.
Hey all you smart people with network knowledge and savoir-faire, can you help me with a server OS question?
I threw together a barebones PC with spare parts I had lying around. I would like to use it as a server on my home network (2 PC's and one Mac). Also I would like to use it as a small...
If you received a 10% coupon via snail mail, OR you are near Fry's you should be able to get the WD 120 GB SE for $47 + tax.
In store there are TWO stackable rebates, $10 and $60, as advertised, $59 after rebates. The $10 rebate form DEFINITELY says you cannot use it in conjunction with...
By the way, BBuy in Emeryville generally has it in stock. They seemed to keep 5+ in inventory and sell 1.2 per week on average. We'll see if they sell more with it on sale...
I had gotten some of this too, but I'm thinking of returning it as I think it's a waste for an Athlon. I have an Athlon in an ECS K7VTA3 Mobo (KT333 chipset). It works well up to 185 FSB or so (where my AGP is running too fast), but NOT on aggressive timings. You have to use relaxed tRCD...
At Amazon: ABIT NF7-S NForce MB
(Sorry I can't link without my session info, but just search for ABIT NF7)
The one with SATA is version 2.0 NF7-S as far as I can tell from their cryptic description.
$107.99 free shipping, no tax
I have a $50 GC so this works out good for me.
Pricegrabber's...
Ahhh...no. It was confirmed that K7VTA3 has a /5 divisor. PCI bus is at 35. Specification is 33, so this is only a very subtle encouragement of the PCI bus. High pitched noise is no different at 33 vs. 35.
Even if I was running at 200 MHz FSB the PCI clock would be at 40 MHz.
The noise...
I've got mine running quite stable at 11.5 X 175 = 2013 MHz with OEM fan/heatsink.
Kingston HyperX PC4000 (I know, overkill...). 183-185 gives MemTest errors and 180 gave some BSODs and crashed 3DMark03.
I'm now drooling at NForce boards with more multiplier/voltage/DDR voltage options...
No, it doesn't need PC2700. The processor will run at 133 MHz or 100 MHz, or even slower, in which case you can use slower RAM. But that's not my point.
The K7VTA3 does not support the Barton at 166 (333) MHz. That is my point.
I don't know how Fry's can sell this as a combo, since that assumes the MB and processor are compatible.
Bartons run at 166 FSB and the K7VTA3 will only run at 166 MHz if the PCI is out of spec at 42 MHz. This MB only has a /4 divisor as far as I can tell, so unless I'm missing something it...
With your FSB at 181 does that mean your PCI clock is running at 45+ MHz? Is that a problem for you, or is there another divisor that you hit beyond 4?
I'm just running at 166 FSB here, and SISandra tells me my PCI peripherals are in danger at 42 Mz. I would like to see how high my 1800+ will...
