Abit Siluro Geforce 4 128mb Ti4400 ?

Does somebody found the table with resolutions and refresh rates of the ABIT? I couldn't find it on ABIT's website, and there's no manual to download. After checking the MSI specs, how come my V7700 Deluxe has better refresh rates? V7700: 1600x1200: 120Hz@16bits, 100Hz@32bits 1920x1200...

Which TI4400 for good quality high-res 2D?

First - do you have a monitor that supports 2048x1536? I'll buy a Viewsonic P225F in about a month timeframe. It can do 2048x1536@79Hz. It was the subject of a previous discussion here. Second - why do you need 2048x1536? Because 1600x1200 is not enough :) Seriously, I wouldn't see the point...

oLLie, Mitsubishi seems to have joined their monitor operations with Nec's, hence Nec-Mitsubishi. Their current (still under the Mitsubishi brand) is rather limited, but they have one indeed: the DP2060u. I skipped over it on the first time because the comparison matrix I saw on their site...

Thanks ext2op, No, those cases wouldn't fit (in height). I'm limited to ~20" in height, but not in width. The 2 cases I mentionned are so-called "cube" cases. Basically, it's the same volume (and expandability) as a full-tower, but instead of being built all in height, the 5¼ bays are besides...

AMD stopped recommending holes around socketA

The thing is, it's in the revision history of an official AMD document, and it's dated January 2002, so it's still pretty recent. I'm sure the board manufacturers would prefer for the holes not be present, so they have a bit more room to route signals (or power and ground) on the inner layers...

This document on AMD's website (look on page vii) indicates that AMD stopped recommending the motherboards manufacturers to put 4 mounting holes around the socketA. How many motherboards actually had the holes and enough clearance for the installation of a big heatsink like the Alpha PAL8045...

I've got a SBLive (not 5.1) with my P2B-D since 1 year now, and no problem with it so far, although I don't run any version of Windows (I use RH 7.1). So it might be a problem with the Creative driver. I never played with the IRQs assignement in the BIOS for PCI slots. I look forward to carry it...
