Definetely get the warranty. I purchased a Sony VAIO laptop over a year and a half ago and the battery has died 2x. One replacement battery is around $200 and laptops just break down alot more often than desktops.
the 8iexp does not support ddr 333 so you're wasting your money on that ram unless you overclock cuz its not going to run at 333 unless change the memory/fsb settings in the bios

Don't be too jealous. Got mine today and it has major color problems. -_- The pins on the VGA inputs were bent to the point of almost breaking, so if replacing that doesn't fix it, I'll have to ship it back to them. Not such a hot deal.

my cable is ok, connected to a cable modem, its odd because the onboard lan won't work, a linksys network card won't work but i tried installing a second network card(netgear) and that is the only one that works in the system

My gf and I both dropped Cingular for Verizon and Verizon has been much better. We live in the LA County and SF Bay Area. Too bad the Motorola v60 batteries need so much recharging. :(
