Softmodding a 9800SE

Upgrade with a budget

When u say "no luck", do u mean that the CD wouldn't even boot or that it won't let you repair the file? If its the 2nd, then it may be a HD problem. Is there no way to load it in safe mode?

My current system does have an old ATI AIW 7500. I'm planning to update that to a 9600 Pro, but I'm still thinking about the normal or the AIW version. In another post, I was told that getting a good TV tuner that would last for several upgrades would be better, so what does everyone else think...

What causes a video card [9500 Pro] to just die after a restart?

If 2 cards have died on you like that, couldn't it be a power supply/monitor problem, maybe?

XP System recovery erasing files
