Pioneer DVD f/load Region Setting

Thanks Edgy but I already know (and have tried) all that. All I want to do is change the regional setting once from 4 to 1. I have 4 more changes, so should work (tried 3rd party software to try and change it also) but keep getting errors. Is it because my operating systen is on a scsi drive...

Pioneer DVD f/load Region Setting

I want to change the current Region 4 setting to USA Region 1 on the DVD player. When I try to change it in Win2X, it won't let me. It says I can change it 4 times. It says please make sure you have region 1 dvd or admin privelages (yes to both). How can I fix it?

boot problems with EPoX 8kha+..about to RMA

Push the RAM in on a flat surface, out of the case, until you hear it CRUNCH deep into the socket.

8KHA+ : RAM problem.

I use 3 sticks of 256 Cruical RAM, no problems. Push down on it until you hear a crunch while the board is on a flat surface (not already installed in the case). Seat, unseat it to break in the connections if it still won;t work. Actually, I thought most people with a C1 error weren't putting...

If you don't want to hack your video card or driver, the synergy 2000 and synergy III cards from Elsa are pretty cheap (for work station cards that is) work station cards for 3d aps.

Should I get Mobos with a RAID controller?

I would get SCSI if I were you. I don't understand why mobos have raid at all actually. Speed increase? A little bit (with 0 config), Chance of failure? Twice as bad because using 2 H/D's. Probably OK for servers though to back up using 5 config or something. SCSi is where its at, if u can...

Anyone fill all PCI and AGP slots on EPOX 8KHA+ and have problems (IRQ's) under WIN2K or WINXP Pro?

Slot 1 is quite close to the AGP on this board. If your graphics card has a fan or high H/S, you can't use it.

HELP!!! Epox 8KHA+ Won't post!

Mine doesn't beep either. I get an FF on the display. Then Windows proceeds to load, and everythings AISB. Turn your monitor on? Graphics card?

Who's happy with their 8KHA+?

Re Epox support. If you send your questions to the Taiwan office, (on the pulldown box select Asia when it asks where you live) you'll get a reply in less than 5 minutes. I did it yesterday, the guy did all sorts of tests for me and it was instant email responses. English isn't perfect, but...

Epox 8KHA + and numerous Power Supply Woes. Please help.

Had the same problem. I use a 400w power supply, but 2 opticals, IDE HD, SCSI, plus everything else I had installed was gobbling up all the power. Take the power off the floppy everything works. I can actually boot with the floppy hooked up, but not always. Need a better power supply. These...

Question about the Cheetah X15 drive...

I agree, RAID sucks. In 0 config, just twice as much chance of failure for minimal increase in overall speed. I have seagate X15-36LP 15000. Once you try, theres no going back. Its like changing from 56k modem to t1 connection. Everything is just plain faster. I use IDE drives for storage...

8KHA+ Floppy Problems...

I've tried two different cables (round and flat), all combinations, round the wrong way etc. It works sometimes, (if I just leave it alone) and other times I get an error at startup about not detecting the floppy (no 80 pin cable or something) Anyone know whats going on? Could it be the floppy...

Tekram DC-390U3W Owners...

Um, actually I was wrong, its an external cable. Thanks, I'll use the one with lots of connectors, but its so bulky, thats why I was using the one that looked like a regular IDE cable. Works alright, but I don't want to sacrifice any performance.

I have this SCSI Controller conected to a Seagate Cheata 15 000 on an Epox 8kha+ This controller came with 3 cables, One 80 Pin, and two sixty eight pin ones. One 68pin looks like a regular tape cable, the other has lots of different connectors on it, and has blue wires. I'm only connecting...

Random Reboots!

I've seen this same problem posted all over the web. I think some people narrowed it down to power supply. 300 watts wasn't cutting it. (esp the Enermaxes I believe). I have the same board, using a 400W Maxtor PS. Just out of interest, what is your PowerSupply?

epox 8kha+ and alpha/pal 8045 ?

Put one on a 8KHA+ today. Its a tight fit, but I filed the side of the HS anyway so it was a comfortable fit. I don't care about the warranty, and its easy to file down, quite soft.

I'm pretty sure this should be set to 133Mhz on the jumper on the 8kha+. Tho I'm not hundred percent certain (using Athlon XP 1700+) should be set at 133Mhz not 100 right?:frown:

That letter on the sticker doesn't signify which BIOS chip you have, rather which BIOS is installed in the chip. To update just download the latest BIOS from the EPOX website. If you want to know what BIOS chip you have, it will be under the sticker. As I understand it, the Hyundai ones are...

How does this system sound? Appreciate your input.

Doesn't the 8KHA+ have a VIA southbridge? If so, watch out with that Creative sound card...you'd be in for some trouble I'm building a system similar at the moment actually:) Same mobo and sound card. Thanks for the warning about the sound card, what soundcard do you recommend as a replacement?

Epox EP-8KHA+ SCSI HDD and ata storage HDD's

Does anybody know a website where I can get information about how to set this system up (initial boot, bios settings, etc..) I am using an SCSI Hardrive for the operating system and apps (on a tekram DC-390U3W U-160), and another two Hardrives for storage.
