User opinion on ECS K7S5A ???

Hi GraveJoKer My theory is: Since the SYSFAN connector on the mboard has 3 connectors, one must be a signal back from the fan about its speed. The two wires from the Antec are just that signal and ground. So, I just need to figure which is which, and the mboard will think its getting a signal...

Thanks, hwstock I'd wondered about the sensors. I'll just try MBM or CPUCool and see what happens. And, same for the temp. My system is lightly loaded now, but, of course, I've got big plans. . . . . When you use CPUCool, do you see anything that corresponds to your main case fan speed?

Whats the Fan Signal Connector for?

The MB has a 3-pin connector labelled "SYSFAN" and says to connect the chassis fan to it - implying that it supplies power to a fna. Thats the only one that sounds anything like this.

I have a new Antec p303X power supply. In addition to the familiar power cables, there's one with 2 small wires going to a connector that looks like it would slip over pins on a Mboard. Documentation downloaded form Antec says it's a Fan Signal Connector. What's it for? Where do I connect...

What is "Locked Memory"

Thanks! I've had a problem with the machine going into a coma for seconds to minutes, and I was using System Monitor to see if I could find out what was going on (or not going on). This large amount of Locked memory was the only suspicious thing I've found so far.

What is "Locked Memory"

I have a Win98 system with 128MB RAM. Running System Monitor shows a steady 73MB of "Locked Memory" I don't know what "locked memory" is, or if 73/128MB is "too much" Any ideas?:confused:
