I know headhunters use it to find experienced people. In my experience they try to pluck people who are employed to work in a similar role at another company. I assume headhunters love it. Company may be quicker to hire, and pay more for, someone they know is actively working and doing well...
Certainly see if you can get an offer from your other place.
Thinking about the 6 month reevaluation. If you were to come back asking 46k to start, over 6 months thats a total difference of maybe 1500 after taxes. So is it worth it for you to play hardball over 1500. Of course that's...
Once the first set is over, there's a 50% chance that whoever won the first set will win the second set. So half the time it'll be 2 sets, half the time it'll be 3 sets.
Showing some math from earlier in the thread:
P(AA) = (1/2)*(1/2) = 1/4
P(ABA) = (1/2)*(1/2)*(1/2) = 1/8

Just finished Moneyball which I liked. Getting some ideas for what to read next from this thread. Also considering picking up William Gibson's latest book.
I hate activating new credit cards, because every time, the person on the other end is trying to push me into some payment protection or identity monitor fee bonanza. I end up being mean to some poor guy in a call center to refuse the service, but it seems like it's the only way to get them to...
I have a turn like that near me and if the light is red I always come to a stop at the crosswalk and then make the turn if there are no pedestrians. If there was some sign about a continuous turn or a green arrow then I'd go right through, but I'll play it safe since police here just love...
I never played 1 but I'm playing through 2 right now. It is pretty great so far. The start of the game was very confusing for me since I knew almost nothing about AC1. So I'd say looking at a synopsis of 1 is a good idea, and knowing exactly what happened in 1 doesn't seem to be THAT critical...
I had stopped thinking about these games because they felt so infinitely far off, but now I really can't wait. Especially for SMG2. Other M I worry could be a bust or just a mediocre game, I hope they do it right.
I remember 2004 being a huge year. Don't remember all the games but there was far cry, half life 2, halo 2... then right at the start of 05 was resident evil 4, which to me was surprisingly awesome. Yeah I'm throwing in PC games but I was more of a PC gamer before the current gen.
For the...
Is this a real company? Is it like you are getting a bite to eat with them? I had something sort of like that once, with a small company, at a mexican restaurant. I think it was to get to know my personality and see how I was in an informal setting. Mostly they asked about my hobbies and my...
2. You can have a lot of people in a party chat, while private chat is just you and one other person. For some reason private chat is still allowed in MW2 multiplayer but party chat is not.
3. Yes they are different. You have the Xbox Live party from the dashboard, and then you have the...
Yes you'll need a GC controller and memory card.
I slightly preferred the wii version, I thought the pointing worked very well. Only trouble I had was with the nunchuk motion for the shield bump. I played the GC version first and felt like it was really made for the wii, especially...
The ram in the latest one looks good. I would think about extending the three color bars all the way across the top. All those shades of blue meeting off-center up top kind of puts me off. Maybe consider a lighter blue or white background. Just my opinion.
Way to go del potro! He really hung in there and played great after the 1st set +. I'm glad they ended up letting him speak in spanish. Awesome to see someone emotional and overjoyed about winning, and not just robo-fed wearing his stupid jackets and building his brand!
Since people are mentioning some pc games, my personal biggest disappointment that I bought was Master of Orion III.
GTA4 was a little disappointing/overhyped as a game, but I thought it was an impressive technical achievement.
I've only had one disconnect in about 175 matches, after I beat him in the first rd he went idle and dropped. I very rarely totally dominate somebody, and my bp is <1k which may be the reason I'm not seeing it much. Though it hasn't been a problem for me I agree it should be punished. I...
probably a good idea to go through the first couple normal trials in challenge mode for a character before you try to use him. Or you can at least pause and check the move list.
Mass Effect is third person not first person; I'd say it leans more to the RPG side, certainly has the dialog options you talk about and getting good/evil points or whatever they called it. The combat is servicable but nothing special.
Bioshock is another FPS/RPG, though it is more FPS...
Braid is a really good and unique and creative puzzle game. The game is not all that long, and once you beat it there isn't a ton of replay value, unless you are really into speed runs. It was compared a bit to Portal and I think that is a good comparison. I haven't touched it in a few months...
I agree, I didn't get used to it fast enough and died pretty quickly. Really the controls in general take getting used to, as I haven't played RE4 in quite a while. I was trying to play it like COD and let me tell you it did not work out all that well. Especially not being able to move while...
I don't think the first man is dead yet, just paralyzed. I'd be very surprised if he gets killed. He and his son's gf will probably escape somehow, and go on some sort of crazy adventure. He's this season's annoying relative and it seems they never die so early or easily.
If they did kill...
I don't know why point & click games got the "adventure" genre title, I'd say all the series in the poll involve somebody having an adventure. Not sure what to call the broad group you were going for.
Whatever you want to call it, I voted Zelda.
I don't care about them. I won't try to get them just to get them. Only thing I really use them for on the 360 is to see how far my friends have gotten in various games.
The worst of it was about an hour - hour and a half ago here (Elgin). It's calmed down a lot, you probably won't hear any more sirens. But if you do, yes then you should go hide.
warning: Warioware multiplayer needs to be unlocked. I was shocked when I got it and found out. Took me 2-3 hours of singleplayer to unlock it. Unlocking it was still fun though, we just took turns on the singleplayer stuff.
Nadal played great, Federer did not. Roger was dumping lots of shots into the net, he was pressing because Nadal really looked unbeatable. Fed tried to get to net but Nadal consistently passed him easily. Nadal looked really really good, he was making unbelievable shots.
Wonder how Federer...
 There's still air dodging. It's just different in that you don't lose your jump and it's non-directional.
I think brawl's more fun, I've already played it more than I ever played melee. But maybe I'm not teh hardcorez enough.
