Need help with TightVNC or UltraVNC

Tight VNC works great. If you have a software firewall remember to assisgn permission to the VNC program. If you are using router on the server PC you will have to open a port . If you have multiple pcs on the router and want to use any of the pcs as servers it is easier to assign static IPs...

Anyone know of any free hard drive cloning software?

I've always used the free utilities available from the drive manufacturer like Merlocka said. They work slower than Ghost or True Image but I have never had any problems using them. Unlike Merlocka, I have found that all of them require at least one of the drives is ID'd as the manufacturers...

Like 13 gigatons said- Do a low level format using a utility available from the drive manufacurer. The utility is free download and fool proof.

DVD recorders losing speed

Proview 19" LCD 16ms for $214 at Microcenter

I found that the Analog works as well as the DVI on Samsung LCDs provided you perform the Image Lock fine tuning. Naturally, you must also be using native resolution.

I have used them a lot and have only one complaint. If you get a defective item, they add insult to injury by making you pay the shipping cost to return it, even when you cross ship a replacement. Once they receive the item, they should verify it is bad, charge the manufacturer the shipping...

new flat monitor giving me some problems

The first thing to keep in mind with LCDs is to always use native resolution, which in your case is 1280 x 1024. Otherwise the image is interpolated and the end result is the image appears fuzzy. Many times this means having to select larger icons and default text sizes in your applications...

Motherboard not compatible?

You should be able to put the hard drives on the raid connector and the cd drives on the Pri IDE. You will have to make sure the driver for the raid controller is installed (page5-28) and the bios settings are correct. Read the manual.

Liteon quality may be slipping. I had a 811s that was DOA recently from Newegg. It would not recognize DVDs only CDs.

Assuming you have the correct cartridge installed (78) , the only other suggestion I can make is to either verify that cartridge does not have burned out resistors by trying it in another printer, or to borrow a cartridge from another printer.

Take the color cartridge out. Dab the print head on a wadded paper towel. Do you see three colored areas of yellow , magenta, and cyan? If not, then it is either plugged with dried ink or empty.

Let me see if I got this straight. You print a test page using the self test method (method 1,3, or 4 on http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfr...amp;dlc=en&lang=en ) and it prints only in the black and red areas leaving all others blank. Is that correct?
