What r the Best H.D "IBM, WD, Seagate, Maxtor" ..?

From my personal expirence. I have not had any problems with Western Digital or Maxtor. Owned a Conner drive years and years ago with many problems (Do they still make Conner these days)

who here has a geforce 2 pro/ti450? how high have you o/ced it?

the GF2 pro is only default clocked @ 200/400, the GF2 Ti is 250/400 The die on the GF2 pro is .18 micron, and GF2 ti is .15 which in theroy lets it overclock a little better.

Best cleaner for you monitor screen?

I have a Sony GDM-500PS 21" Trinitron. I use the the purple formula 409, multi surface cleaner. Hasn't hurt the coating at all. If really concerned about the coating though, try water.

Monitor not sleeping when connected to KVM?

Some KVM (not sure about your model) continue to send a signal of some sort to the monitor. The one I have at work keeps the monitor awake at all times.

Also, If you do want DSS on your PC, get a regular TV tunser card, and put the output from a receiver into the PC.

I know at least with echostar, you can't get their service without a receiver made by echostar. Some echostar receivers are labeled JVC, which are sold retail, but still made by echostar. As for Direct TV, I don't know much about their products, I do know they let numerous manufactures make...

I've seen these (or something similar) at the local satellite store. They work with Full View 4DTV systems (Big Ugly Dish on Digital transponders)

23.12 nVidia WHQL Drivers out!

Looked at driver versions, all at 6.13.10.2312 I'll admit it doesn't happen as often as it did before, and It's only happened once so far with 23.12 I've ran 3dmark2001 and 2002 numerous times with no problem, but got it playin Sim City 3000 I'm sure they're installed correctly. Maybe everyone...

Networking w/computers running NT &WIN98SE

if you can, hook the printers to the NT machines, and let the 98 machines access them through the network. that *MIGHT* do it.... no guarentees.

Is it possible to use two NIC card in one PC to increase my DSL bandwidth?

You can use two NICS, pipe them through a router/switch and it would work, but your not going to have any more bandwith. unless you have two seperate DSL accounts with seperate drops. =) then, you might... depending on how you hook stuff up. I dunno.

Does order of cards in PCI slots really make a difference?

I dunno... I just threw my cards in, and they work fine. AGP PCI 1 and PCI 2 blank to leave room for air for GPU fan. Slot 3 TV Tuner card/Raido Card Slot 4 Sound Card slot 5 NIC Slot 6 Modem Everything works with no problems

Help me choose a hard drive

I've had good expirences with Western Digital drives, and not too many probs from Maxtor. Alot of people like IBM drives, but I've never personally had one. Just look for the best deal on one of thoes brands. Maxter seems to give a bit more GB for the price, but I've noticed WD drives do not get...

I've searched in and out, DVD add on for Windows Media Player for XP still available?

Short answer: YES Long answer: Where I work, we have an ops staff who monitors systems 24/7, On some screens, the same thing GUI stays there 24/7, every year or so, they get new monitors, since thoes are on constantly. The tube monitors, you could see the burnt in image when it was on or off...
