GA-8IEXP Boot Loop Problem

did you install any adaptec/roxio burning software? :Q I remember having this boot problem when I installed Video Pack. It drove me bananas. It turned out that the software is not XP compatible. It may not be a hardware problem, it could be software related. Check XP threads... Good Luck.

recording short video w/ webcam => huge files (1.4 GIG)

get virtualdub anyway. If you cannot capture then use virtualdub to reencode the video and audio. DivX codec for video and mp3 codec for audio will reduce the filesize.

nice find heinikenman!! I also had a TP600, the IDE connectors looked the same but as you eluded earlier, they are a bit off on the alignment. Why don't you just buy another floppy if you are just cannibalizing it for the interface connections.

If you want the SCSI to be the boot drive then go to the bios and setup the boot sequence to SCSI before IDE.

btw.. it sound like the partition setup got deleted from the drive. If you really do not want to recover anything from the drive, then try repartitioning and formatting the drive.

Radeon 64MB VIVO problems

When the tV out is on, make sure that your resolution is 800 X 600 as it tries to send signal to your TV out and could only handle this resolution. This happens as the card tries to emulate TV signals and TV resolution is much lower than PC.

diff between ati tv wonder and tv wonder ve?

The VE does not have an audio input unless you are using the cable connection. For RCA jacks, you only have the video and have to use the "line in" of your sound card to produce the audio. I have seen the TV Wonder version with the break out box which has your rca connections (audio and video)...

99min CDR's...where?

Can I use PC800 RDRAM along with PC600 RDRAM

Dying CMOS battery

the cmos battery ensures that the bios setting you have chosen is not lost when the PC is powered down. basically it becomes anoying when the battery is totally depleted that you have to set you bios every time you start from a cold boot. Save yourself some hassles and replace the battery.
