I have set up my dad's computer to crunch work units using the CLI when his PC is logged in, but the problem is, his PC spends most of it's time logged out (There are 4 users and a guest). So I was wondering if there was a way to set up the computer to run the CLI version when it is logged out...
How do I forward work units to my account in seti. I want to get more computers Crunching, but I don't want to use my real account (I want to make a second acount and have my real one get the credit).
Thanks for the help - Go Team

when I use CPU Burn, my temp goes up and it is supposed to put a big load on your computer, right? This should put a bigger load on your CPU - all of them.
Make a new text file (notepad) type "1" without the quotes. save it as "1.bat", run it. Test it out. Get 2 windows going at the same time...
are there any walkthroughs on Volt mods. I know how to change the multiplyer in the Bios, but what is safe with volt mods. I am using a DR. Thermal fan with an AMD Athlon 1600+ and I am planning to overclock it to 1600 through the FSB.
Thanks
<< WELL! I see I'm not apreciated here so I will take my Knowledge and any other "Price Upping scheme" LOL ! somewhere else!
Later everyone! >>
Where are you taking it? :( Will you still post your Idea here. I want to overclock, but I dont want to put superglue on my $300 CPU.
Go with the Dragon Plus. It has on board sound (6 Channel!) and on board Hugh speed. Myne is verry stable, and I think I would have regretted getting an Epox 8KHA+ Motherboard.
Hi, I just got an Athlon XP 1600+ and I was hoping that I can overclock it from 1400 to 1600. What should I change the Voltage to, and What Voltage do I change? When does overvolting and overclocking begin to Fry my PC? How Do I test to see if it is stable? Right now it is running at 1400 at 33C...
If I mess up in flashing my bios, how come I have to get a new chip? Why can't I just short that pin? I thought that the software was built in to the chip so if the software part had a problem the hardware would right new software. Hardware is 'Hard' - not re-rightable. I was planning on...
Does the on-board sound and LAN hold me back in overclocking like a sound card in my PCI slot would? I am planning to upgrade my computer to:
Soyo SY-K7V Dragon Plus (On-board Sound, 6 USB, and a 10\100 LAN)
AMD Athlon XP 1700+
512MB DDR PC2100
ATI Radeon 8500
Maxtor 4K080H4 80.0GB
A Decent HSF...
I am going to get an Athlon 1.4 and I was wondering...
1) How high can I get it (Stable and Not) with a Soyo SY-K7V Dragon Plus Motherboard, 256-512 MB DDR PC2100 Ram, and a Voodoo 2 Banshee (PCI) Vidio card?
2) What is it's temperature High and Low (Overclocked and Not)?
3) Is it locked?
4)...
I have a Celeron 733 that i got for Free that is missing 1 pin on the corner :disgust:. I think it is Pin 1 or Pin 3. I'm not sure. Is there any way I can fix this? It seems like a wast to just throw it away.

What if I was to Overlock it to it's Max without overclocking the Volts
or
What if I was to Overlock it to it's Max without overclocking the Volts and FSB

I am going to get an Athlon XP 1800+ soon and I wanted to ask a few questions. Sorry if they were asked before.
1) If I overclock a processor to its max (FSB, Clock, and Volt's) can it get dammaged? Only if I see what it can do. I wouldn't actually use it at that speed.
2) What would a good...
I will Be Upgrading My Computer with a KR7A-Raid Motherboard, 1 Stick of DDR 266 (PC2100) 512 MB of ram and an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ or a 1900+ processor if the price goes down some time soon. I wanted to know if I can overclock the Processor with this setup or if I should get something else so I...
