QUIET! cooler for an XP1800+

Try the GlobalWin TAK68. It still use aluminum but does the job well, thanks to dual slow fan (you'll hear nothing!). Just check if it'll fit on your board:)

Which is better, Duron 1.2 or Athlon 1Ghz 266FSB?2

I'm planning to upgrade my Duron 800. I'm confused which to buy, a Duron 1.2 or Athlon Thunderbird 1Ghz 266FSB. They are priced the same. Which is faster? HELP!

What's your CPU Temp on a Epox 8KHA+?

I'm using an Epox 8KHA+ with a Duron 850 and my CPU temp after playing games is 43C. Is this normal? System temp is 29-30C. GeForce2GTS and good case air flow. What's your CPU Temp on a Epox 8KHA+?

8KHA+ : RAM problem.

Have also same ram problem but only if i use 2 sticks. with only 1 ram, system running stable but when installed another exactly same ram windows got blue screen and sometimes registry error. i tried the new ram only and it runs stable in turbo settings. but with two sticks, system always crash...

how can you tell if

Encountered several times - while repairing a PC and it's on then suddenly the PSU blacked out, but did'nt damaged the board except one - the PSU instead of +5V it's +9V, Yeah the Hard disk just smell and when I turned off the machine Hdisk is toasted :) The CPU might be loose. Try removing...

Is is safe to plug Volcano 6Cu+ 3 PIN directly on board?

I have a Thermaltake Volcano 6cu+ Heatsink (7000rpm Fan). When I bought it, it didn't come with a Molex so I got one because I do not know what will happen if I plug it directly on my board (EPOX 8KHA+ w/ 300 watts PSU). I checked the website of thermaltake and it says it comes with 3 pin...

Which GeForce 2 Ti card has the best performance/price ratio?

You won't believe it but Elsa Vids are cheap (at least on our country). They have good quality and nice price. I also tried the inno3D, just basic and if you don't need the extras it will do - same performance as others

www.AmdZone.com Just saw their web news with headling - AMD BUYERS? which says: "Glynn let me know that Bloomberg was reporting STMicroelectronics might buy AMD. Ok, not sure about that one. Now since Nvidia is doing well its them that will be buying AMD instead of IBM this year. Yeah, right...

Just checked some web news and saw some articles saying that some companies - IBM, Nvidia and one more company planning to buy AMD. Yikes! If not for AMD I'll not be having my own PC. Intel just to costy and it was'nt for AMD, Intel would not be lowering its price... I say ... LONG LIVE AMD...

How good is a Vortex 2 Soundcard in XP?

HORRIBLE! If you heard Vortex2 in Win98SE and loved it, you'll be dissapointed in XP! Plain drivers. No quad (4 speakers). Sounds very bad. Sound drops and cracklings but there is a fix to this sound drop using WPCREDIT - Try checking the VortexOfSound.com website for fix. No Vortex control...

If I overclock, how long will my cpu last?

Have the ff. config: Duron 800 w/ Thermaltake Volcano 6cu+ Epox 8KHA+ 128MB PC Chips (Nanya chips) DDR Memory 20Gb Maxtor Diamond Max Plus. 300 Watts generic Power supply Aureal Vortex 2 Super Quad If I overclock my CPU to 950Mhz, have any idea how long will my cpu last if i use it everyday...
