Pushing a T-Bird

<< how far can a 900 T-Bird bew pushed? Im getting a Vantec CCK-6035D also, the POS $15 thing i got is junk and ive killed 2 freaking CPU's with it! Im getting a shim too :) I'll be getting one tomorrow casue im upgrading, its not much, i got a cheap new MB with onboard justabout everything...

Overclocking Red core Athlon - not too successful...

Sounds good cookieman......... BTW i did have one more idea..... DROP your Multiplier to 6.0x and Raise your FSB to 166.....(996MHz ROUNDED it will show 1000MHz) NOW, if your rig will work at that speed......MUCH FASTER than having a FSB of 133 or 138 whether it be 1GHz OR 1.1GHz CPU...

RISC Processors

<< I thought AMD's started out being RISCs.. bah i'm confused. >> No, not true..... BUT the K7 core was Designed as RISC based.......basically in a nutshell, all K7 core based Chips are Castrated ?? Well no...how can I explain this ?? Let's just say AMD Forced the Athlon etc. to run x86...

Oc Problems (Plz Help!)

<< I am having problems OCing, I just bought a new rig (see specs in my rigs section) I can get it to run anywhere close to 1533 where it is supposed to clock. ( I think i have it now at 11.5 clock multiplier and 120 fsb) Any suggestions, i dont know what else to say. Ask and ye shall know :)...

Hey there, i noticed in your sig. your running your CPU at a FSB of 138MHz...maybe your MB/CPU doesn't like FSB Overclock, try raising the Multiplier from 7.5 (1000MHz) to 8.0 or even 8.5 etc. Check it out, see how it goes......ALSO your temps could be whats effectign tour CPU from not beign...
