Mine showed up yesterday and it's an 8100... I'm really happy with this guy - nice display, excellent UT performance at 1600x1200. :)
Desiman - my order showed as "Shipped" on the Dell website w/ tracking number on Monday. It didn't show up in UPS's database until Wednesday morning...

FWIW - Those who are on the edge (and not being thwarted by it being OOS) this scanner works great in Win2K. I was skeptical when I heard that PaperPort 6 (which it lists as included SW on the box) but mine came with 7, which works with Win2k/XP. Granted, I don't really use PaperPort but I tried...
It says on the site that the front panel is ABS plastic. You get a cool aluminum case with an alumninum-colored front panel. It's a Ferari with a Pinto front bumper! :D I'd pass on this one, unless you like the internals of the case and the 400W PS. The plastic bezel ruins it for me.

1) Natalia's so damn good that she's able to mail checks so they arrive just hours after people contact her
~OR~
2) She was told to just take people's addresses to pacify them until the checks arrive

I contacted Natalia on Saturday with a civil, matter-of-fact message and received a response today. Word is that my check will be mailed within 48 hours.... no run-around or excuses - I'm hopeful that this will be the end of the saga.
Well, I thought I'd play the patient one and wait the 4-6 weeks that Charlene J. from the Philips Customer Care Center told me before contacting Natalia but now its been 6 weeks and no check, so Natalia got her message today.
I figure she'll get another 6 weeks (totaling more than 26 weeks)...
Just a word of caution: Philips owes a truckload of $40 rebates to folks ( AT Philips CDRW Rebate Thread ) so be prepared to "loan" them that $100 until they get "class action'd" and are forced to make good on their promises. :-)
