Just got a Visoioneer 8100 scanner. Installed under Windows 2000. Using TWAIN software (Paint Shop Pro) to scan.

Did anybody try the following:
Scan with TWAIN software, it works fine.
Switch off the the scanner, then switch it on, the system reconnects the scanner
Scan with TWAIN software again..
I got message saying could not communicate with the scanner

I installed the newest driver under Windows 2000. It works fine with button scan and the software came with the product. But sometimes when I tried to scan within Paint Shop 7, I got a message of could not communicate with scanner. It did not happen all the time. Sometime works and sometime not...

I agree. I bought K7S5A combo about one month ago. That was a opened one which I did not notice. It did not work and wasted my whole day to figure it out. Finally I had to drive 10 miles back to return it.
