XFX Geforce 5900 Ultra - No bootup screen!

I read the threads about a blank bootup screen on the Dell support forums.. Geez Louise, I didn't realize that this was such a big issue, but at least I know for sure that I'm not the only one.. Seems as if I'd have to hook up the D-SUB (or get another video card) if I want to see the bootup...

Dell 2005FPW 12ms vs 2001FP 16ms Response Time

I had this choice to make also.. I REALLY wanted 1600x1200 and figured widescreen gaming wasn't going to cut it -- odd high resolution on the 2005FPW, hence I went with the 2001FP.. What a beauty! :)

Well, you see, according to Googer in the previous message, the 875 chipset SATA controller, aka. south bridge controller, doesn't require drivers if you aren't doing RAID.. This is exactly how I installed my SATA drive, yet from what I remember, I DID need drivers.. This is where my confusion...

Power Problem. LED lights up on my Asus board

What model of Asus board is it? Can YOU use a "screwdriver" and power it up using the method he did? The only other switch I can think of that you'd watch to check is the one that clears the CMOS setup (BIOS configuration). Make sure it's not set on "clear mode". Ciao.

CDR media - What would YOU buy?

I got some 4x Mitsumi DVD-R's at Futureshop and my LG 4040B will only burn on them at 2x.. Very frustrating since I bought 100 of them.. Yes, I do have the latest firmware installed.. :)

Would this card be excellent for running World of Warcraft

I must agree with the above, especially if you are considering, as someone suggested, that 9700 for $139 -- throw in another $40 and get yourself a nVidia 6600 GT 128Mb -- you'll be set for a MUCH longer time.. Ciao.

Bootup process /w DVI'ed LCD..

Well, I haven't had the time to do the D-SUB tests which I'm sure will allow me to see the bootup process when switching the monitor using it's source button to D-SUB.. Even if that works, it seems some (everyone?) sees their bootup process using DVI only.. I'm a bit confused as to why this is...

New install and mouse lags again!!!!!!!Update

The MX-1000 comes with a USB->PS/2 adapter.. Hook up the mouse to the PS/2 port and see if the problem goes away EVEN IF you were hooked up via USB beforehand.. We can go from there.. P.S. Make sure the mouse base is not near any electrical devices (as stated in the documentation)...

2001FP and what video card?

I'd go for an nVidia 6600 GT 128Mb based video card -- pretty good bang for your buck at the moment.. Personally, I use my Dell 2001FP @ 1600x1200 /w an nVidia GeForce 5900 Ultra 256Mb and it's pretty darn sweet.. Ciao.

I suppose it depends what kind of speakers you have on your PC, I know I can tell a difference between my on-board sound card and my Audigy 2 ZS when used with my Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500's 5.1 digital speakers.. :)
