I received this letter a few years back, then I misplaced it. I was cleaning today and I found it, so I decided to scan it in and post.
CLAIMS
These are actual statements found on insurance forms where car drivers are trying to explain the details of the accident in a limited number of...
I am using the latest official bios. I will let you guys know what happens when the replacement comes. By no luck I mean the highest clock I was able to get the thing to post at was 1333 (10x133) mhz and even then, just after a few seconds the machine crashes. This was using the default...
Its not even stable at 600, reboots on a regular basis. I have adjusted my multipliers FSB settings and voltage settings with no luck. I plugged my 1700+ back in that is clocked at 2 ghz and it runs like a charm. I am pretty sure I have a bad chip, but I could be wrong.
Do I need any special bios to use this chip? I am using an NF7-S and the chip refuses to load windows at anything besides 6x100 no matter what multipier or voltage settings I use. Pretty frustrating
I just recieved a chip from newegg today and it seems I am having the same problem. Dug, are you sure its a bad chip or is there some kindof setting I am missing in the bios?
Are these CPU's unlocked both ways? Higher multipiers and lower multipliers are available? Like the 2400 mobile for example, does that have multipliers past 13.5 available?
Mine shakes at all resolutions. This just started happening... was not an issue at all before. My setup has not changed at all either. Im just glad I discovered it within the 30 days of purchase.
Yeah, they took Sam's Club out too.. I guess it was just too much work for them to enter all the store numbers. Its a real shame, didnt think they would cut corners like this.
Homepna support inside of linux is pretty limited. There are only a few cards that are supported, and support varies by kernel version. Speaking from experience, you can use your diamond homepna card inside of linux. Kernel version 2.4 will only work with the 10 base T port. On the other...
Im going to have to agree. I have a 600 mhz ibook that is awfully slow inside of OSX. Im guessing the lack of ram is the problem though. Right now I only have 128 MB and top claims only 5 or 6 MB of physical memory are free. I will let you guys know how performance is after memory upgrade...
I realize you have to be very careful when overriding the package management system. If you have a pretty powerful system give ePSXe a try. It runs a lot of games.. I would guess its compatiblilty rate is around 80%.
KDE 3 is great... if you have problems installing from rpms try the -nodeps and --force switches. The anti-alias fonts look nice too :)
Check out my kde3 desktop here.
I happened to stumble over a Sun fixed frequency monitor (GDM-1962b). I have found a number of modelines availabe for the monitor that partially sync the picture, however without a composite signal the picture will not completely sync. In windows, their is a composite option available in the...
The problem with homepna cards is actually behind the 2.4 linux kernel, I guess this isnt an issue for bsd at all. Im assuming you are using the diamond home pna cards that use the amd chipset. If this is the case, then you can still use linux with a 2.2 kernel. Check out smoothwall for a...

Head over to www.epsxe.com to give it a try.
NT uses dx3 I believe. Pretty sure MAME has a higher dx requirement. Sounds like you maybe out of luck on this one, unless you use an old version of MAME.
Not really sure why redhat is not using your sound card correctly. It maybe a driver issue, you could however try the alsa drivers for your card. They are typically very good. Your specific sound card is listed as supported on the alsa page. First your will have to have to compile the...
